Hi @bricali88! Adding 1-2 syringes of filler can help with chin projection. I would also recommend jawline filler. Restylane Defyne works great for the chin and Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Volux works well in the jawline. I hope this was helpful!
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, dermal fillers are a great non-surgical option for augmenting the chin, as well as sculpting a more defined jawline. Based on your photos, you seem to have a weak chin, and you may benefit from the filler’s ability to enhance the lower face. To learn more about fillers and how they can contour your features, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. These experts not only have the knowledge and experience necessary to perform injectable treatments, but they have the aesthetic eye to produce natural-looking results. Your surgeon can personally evaluate your face, design the best and safest treatment plan, and ensure the best possible outcome.
I believe that chin filler would be a good temporary and non-invasive procedure to help project and lengthen your chin. This result can last around a year and give you a chance to determine if you like the aesthetic of having your chin more projected. I do think you would be an excellent candidate for a surgical anatomic chin implant as well to provide more definition to your chin and jaw while harmonizing it with your other facial features. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified experts to discuss your ideal aesthetic goals. This way, they can better assess your face and create an ideal treatment plan for you. Best of luck, Kian Karimi MD, FACS
Chin filler helps give chin projection and contouring. Many fillers can be used including Juvederm Volluma, Restylane Defyne, off label Restylane Lyft and Radiesse. Fillers can be added along the jawline for additional contouring.Chin implants give a longer lasting result.
A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello. Chin fillers can definitely improve the profile view in cases where the chin is small or recessed. This helps with improving the overall balance to the face. You may be a candidate for it, so it is best to have a consultation in person with your doctor.
Yes, fillers can be used to bring your chin into better proportion with your face. You can also consider a chin implant for a more permanent solution. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to further discuss your options.
Chin filler would help your side profile and it might be a good way to start and give you an idea of what your chin profile could look like. That being said, you might want to consider an anatomic chin implant to bring your chin forward and also augment the entire front and side jaw view areas. Typically, the chin should match the lower lip in profile and yours is several millimeters short. A small amount of focused liposuction of the submental or area under the chin can also help to give you a stronger neck and jaw line especially in the profile view. I would recommend consultation with a facial plastic surgeon in your area.
Fillers are temporary and the chin area often requires several syringes of filler. I would recommend something permanent such as a chin implant or genioplasty. In addition, you would benefit from simultaneous submental and jawline liposuction to provide better contour and definition of the neck and jaw.
The profile view provided does suggest that the use of a robust filler, such as Restylane Lyft or Voluma XC would be helpful to not only contour the chin in the front face view, but enhance projection in the profile view and better harmonize this projection with that of the lips and the nose. Make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and ask to see his/her personal before and after photos. Best of luck.
