How can I get a more evenly proportioned face? (photos)

Question

I have a rounded forehead with a prominent nose. I like my smile so I'd like to not do anything to mess it up. However my resting face is very one dimensional and not my ideal shape. What could be done to create more harmony?

Thank you for providing images along with your question. For face sculpting and contouring, injectables are a great option. Botox can help create a brow lift that will shorten the distance between the brow and hairline, minimizing the appearance of a large forehead. Fillers, on the other hand, can restore and enhance volume and definition around the face, improve a weak or recessed chin, and give the face an overall lifted appearance. To find out your best treatment options, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. Your surgeon can evaluate your face, determine the right treatment or combination of treatments, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Profile photos would have been extremely helpful. However, from the frontal views provided, there appears to a be volume deficit in the upper outer cheeks and some flattening of the cheeks in the region below the eyes. The use of a robust HA volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC or a robust HA lifting filler, such as Restylane Lyft in these regions would help to create the more ideal, heart-shaped feminine face shape and likely improve the under eye regions, as well, by providing the necessary additional support to this area. Without the profile view, it is difficult to be sure, but the pronounced dark shadowing under your lower lips (the so-called mental crease) and the chin itself suggest volume deficit here, as well, which very likely contributes to a lack of harmony in the projections of hose, lips, and chin. If this is so, the use of a robust HA fillers would improve this, as well. I gave up using fat injections a long time ago, since much of the injected fat, despite the promises of being permanent, when separated from its original blood supply does not survive. What's more, that which does survive in the new location retains the properties of the region from which it was taken (thighs, hips, abdomen)--meaning that with aging when the donor area develops a midriff bulge, the fat injected in the face can, as well.  Not a happy situation, nor one that can be easily remedied. For that reason, I prefer the HA fillers, which can give relatively long-lasting durable results without those kinds of concerns. What's more, HA fillers can be relatively easily dissolved should the need arise, something that cannot be done with fat. Finally, in seeking treatment of physicians these days. Although the vast majority of nonsurgical rejuvenation techniques, like chemical peels, Botox, and fillers were developed and innovated by cosmetic dermatologists, they have been freely shared with other core aesthetic physicians, such as plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, ophthalmic and ENT plastic surgeons, etc. So, these days, you just need to be sure that you are seeking consultation with an experienced, board certified cosmetic physician in any of these core specialties. Some fillers can balance your facial proportions. I would use Restylane defyne in the chin area to bring own an shape your chin. Har to see jawline in this photo but I might like  to use a Restylane product or raiesse to build stronger jawline.

Thanks for the question and the photographs. Even though the photographs are somewhat deficient because a profile isn’t present, it appears that you have a typical problem with the facial proportions which are transferred or inherited from the father’s side of the family. That is lack of facial volume in the central portion of the cheek and lower eyelids. That area appears to be rather flat in your case. This can easily be corrected with fat grafting. When fat grafting is performed by a plastic surgeon with lots of experience similar to myself, the results are extremely natural as well as permanent.
