the question is for doctors who are doing forehead reduction surgery. is this surgery associated with eyebrow lifting? I would like to get this surgery, but I would not like my eyebrows or eyelids to be lifted
Answer: Hairline Lowering without Browlift In order to have your brow lifted during a standard one stage hairline lowering procedure, the surgeon would purposely have to perform a brow lift. A standard one stage hairline lowering procedure does not raise the brow.

Answer: Keep those brows in place Most of my patients are looking for at least a little brow lift, but occasionally we have women with eyebrows that are already high or most of the men who undergo this procedure who don't want to move their brows much. If you don't want to move your hairline down then it is easy to keep your eyebrows in the exact same position. If you wan't a little hairline advancement and no brow movement, that is also strait-forward. Getting maximum hairline advancement with minimal brow movement is the most challenging situation, but we have several techniques we use that allow us to do this for most of our patients. -Dr. Rolfes

Incision is placed in the hairline in zig-zag fashion and only scalp is mobilized to come forward without lifting brows. Surgeon should try to preserve sensitive nerve brunch in the forehead to avoid numbness posterior to the scar. In person evaluation is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Forehead reduction without brow lifting We do a lot of these procedures and yes it is possible to lower the hairline without raising the eyebrows. Generally the patient has the choice of raising the eye brows or keeping them where they are. Consult a forehead reduction specialist for more information

Answer: Forehead Reduction Without Eye Brow Lifting Many years ago I described the Irregular Trichophytic Hairline Incision technique to lower the hairline and reduce the size of the forehead. Hair will grow through and in front of the incision so the patient has total freedom of hair styling. The brows are not lifted at all unless this change is necessary.
