I have a large forehead and receding hairline. What can be done? (photos)

Hello,It is hard to find doctors for forehead lowering since they need to be experts in 2 areas.  First of all, doctors need to be experts in facial plastic surgery or plastic surgery to lift up the scalp area and advanced along the forehead.  The galea is released during this.  A key component is hiding the scar along the border of the scalp.
The second component is being an expert in hair transplantation.  The hairline is lowered and the scar is camouflaged through hair transplants. 
Look for a surgeon specializing both plastic surgery of the face and who does hair transplants.

Male patients can use a hair transplant procedure to recreate a new/lower hairline.  Grafts can be taken from the back of the head and transplanted to create a lower hairline.  Male patients are not good candidates for forehead reduction surgery due to the risk of future hair loss and receding hairlines.  I would recommend speaking with a hairline lowering expert to discuss options that are right for you as well as any questions you might have.All the best,

Hair line lowering surgery can lower your hairline.  However it is always a good idea to consult with a doctor to make sure you do not have genetic hair loss.  

Most male patients with high hairlines choose hair transplant to create a new hairline.  You would have to have measurements of your facial thirds which can't really be appreciated from the photos that you have provided as well as a history and physical exam.  Risks and benefits would be discussed along with all treatment options both medical and surgical.

The treatment for a large forehead which usually reflects recession in a male, is always a hair transplant not a forehead advancement surgery. You would have to be examined, determine where your hairline is presently and where it could be move to so that you always look normal.
