How Old Do I Have to Be for Nipple Correction Surgery?

Typically breast surgery is performed when the patient is mature from a physiological and physical standpoint. At age 16, the breasts are still growing and I would recommend that the patient wait till they are a bit older. As an early adolescent, it is often difficult to correct an inverted nipple at such a young age. In most cases, there is limited tissue available for stretching the nipple and allowing for reasonable projection. My recommendation would be to wait till the breast has matured usually at about 18yrs of age. All the best --Dr. Cohen
