Will it ever be possible for me to do martial arts again after a Tummy Tuck?

I'm 9 days post-op and my doctor has told me that everything is looking good and I'm recovering well. I'm very worried that I would not be able to do martial arts again after the operation. I do a form of Karate that involves hard punches and kicks to the body including the abdomen. Would this have an effect on my surgery,scar,abdomen etc. and does it mean I cannot fight ever again? Thanks a million for the help guys!

While the vertical scar can't be eliminated in its entirety now, sometimes if there is some extra remaining laxity, a portion of it could be excised if a inverted-T approach were to used at the time of scar revision.  Otherwise, you could just excise the wide parts, and re-suture them...

Each body takes its own time to heal. Your body went through a lot and may need some extra time. Although we do have guidelines and timelines for the healing process, each body is different. Take it easy still and continue to talk to your doctor if you have concerns or questions.

Remember patient safety concerns are the most important factor not costs. Many Plastic Surgeons do not advocate doing a tubal ligation at the same time as a tummy tuck because the risks for complications increases when anesthesia time and combined procedures are performed. Thank you for your inquiry.   pain in the lower back is common after tummy tuck surgery is recommended to perform a keep both legs together i bent wing bedtime cost yourself and I recommend massaging the lower back with arnica and is clearly this have to consult with your surgeon
