This is your natural lip tissue which is supporting your very full and symmetrical lips. I strongly suggest avoiding any treatment to remove it. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who is an expert in facial rejuvenation techniques if you have specific questions regarding your facial anatomy. In my practice, we combine dermal fillers with over 45 lasers, Botox, and other treatment modalities to customize treatments for the unique needs of each of our patients. Good luck!
I appreciate your question and photo. I agree with the other surgeons in this thread that think your lips are a beautiful shape without any anatomical abnormality to address. If you tried to adjust this area, chances are the results would not look as aesthetically pleasing as your current appearance.
Actually, your lips look nice and full and I would not make any adjustments to the white portion along the side of the lip. This is likely the orbicularis muscle which supports your lower lip and helps to maintain the shape and fullness.
Your lip is lovely. What will it be like if someone agrees to attempt to remove this natural feature? You might very well come to regret this choice. That volume supports the lower lip. I think you would be disfigured by this choice. I hope you rethink this desire.
Thank you for your questions. I would agree with others that this is a completely normal anatomical finding and consistent with a young, full lip. Don't go chasing what does not need to be fixed.Good luck!Dallas R. Buchanan, MD, FACSOwner & Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonVIVIFY plastic surgery

Your lips are pretty. What you are seeing is a normal anatomical finding that does not need to be removed. You are seeing a prominent white roll laterally.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you call a fatty pouch under the lip. This column of soft tissue supports your lip and if removed will result in your lip over hanging. Don't do anything. Good luck from New York City
Thanks for your question and I appreciate your concern. Bruising and small lumps are actually quite common after lip filler, since this is a rather sensitive area of skin. I would advise you to use ice or cool compresses on the area to reduce swelling. You can also take Arnica for the bruising....
There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you...
Hi there, The asymmetry you are experiencing may be due to inflammation and swelling, considering you are only two days post injection. Continue to ice and massage, you might also want to try taking arnica pills or applying arnica gel to help relieve some of the swelling.I would suggest a ...
Hi Mica399! I typically recommend waiting at least 3 months after a lip lift to get lip filler. I hope this was helpful!
