Hi Mica399! I typically recommend waiting at least 3 months after a lip lift to get lip filler. I hope this was helpful!
Both lip fillers and a surgical lip lift involve significant swelling for some patients, so you will likely be much more comfortable scheduling these procedures separately. However, your surgeon should be able to recommend the best process for you. Make sure you work with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to ensure your treatment is both safe and successful. Good luck to you!
They can both be done simultaneously. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. This does not affect doing fillers, which can be done on the lower lip at the same time. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Mica399,most plastic surgeons will recommend you to wait until you are fully healed before you get lip fillers. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Since neither procedure directly affects the other in their technical execution, they can be performed together. The only reason to then would be from an aesthetic standpoint to determine how much filler is needed on the lower to balance it with the lifted upper lip. In that regard one should wait 6 weeks after the lip lift to get the filler done.
Hi,The top lip is severely swollen immediately after a lip lift and it can take several weeks for the swelling to resolve. While there is no real issue with getting filler to the bottom lip immediately before or after the lip lift, it would make for sense to wait until you are healed from surgery to augment the bottom lip. Best,
Your photographs are poor quality. However, you do have a large distance between your nose and upper lip. This may be secondary to your rhinoplasty. You may benefit from a lip lift. You also have asymmetry of your lips and corners of your mouth. The technique I recommend is the exte...
Hello, and thank you for your question! I believe that you would be a great candidate for a procedure that I call Aesthetic Facial Balancing. A large part of my practice is using this procedure. What this means is evaluating a patients face and bringing the features into harmony by making a...
Hi @andrebrice88. Technique and filler choice is very important. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
