Explant of 1 year old 255cc moderate profile implants - will I need another lift?

Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. However, after implant removal, most patients will have hanging skin and will need a lift. You may only need a small lift. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.

In case of an explantation with capsulostomy, the surgical procedure would imply a breast reconstruction not only a lift, because taking out the volume that the prosthesis gave will require repositioning of the tissues. You should have the implants removed and then give your breasts time to recover and heal from the surgery. Your implants aren't very large so I do not anticipate the need for a second lift.

An examination or photos is needed to advise you if a lift is recommended for you. Your surgeon will need to discuss your goals with you as well as evaluate the elasticity of your skin and the current state of your breasts in terms of sagging. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Photos would aid immensely in answering your question. The fact that you have smaller implants, I would guess that you may be able to just have an explantation without the need for a lift. A physical exam would answer this question more accurately.

If you can corrected with the first lift, you may be fine to not relift. However, you will have some extra skin that what stretched with implants and still may need the lift.
