Emsculpt perform by the specialist or staff?

I have read about the benfits of Emsculpt and it seems to be a good and promising treatment. Should this procedure should be perform by the specialist or can be perform by the staff?

In my practice, Emsculpt is performed by our BTL trained Laser technicians. As long as the technician or nurse has been trained by BTL, they are qualified to perform the Emsculpt treatment. If the patient is uncomfortable or wants my opinion on the treatment, I always offer them a complimentary consultation with me so we can discuss the treatment more in depth and answer any additional questions they might have.

I examine and evaluate all of our patients prior to their EmSculpt treatment.  I apply the EmSculpt paddles to the proper area for maximum muscle contractions and results at the first treatment.  After the first treatment, position of the paddles is noted and staff is able to apply the paddles at subsequent EmSculpt treatment sessions.  Good luck and be well.

EMSculpt can be performed by anyone who has been trained to operate the machine (under the auspices of a physician). The  individual administering treatments at a given practice may vary.That being said, you should be evaluated by a physician to determine whether you are in fact a candidate for treatment both from the perspective of safety and efficacy.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MD

The answer to your question largely depends on the rules and regulations governing your state, but in most cases, a supervising physician, PA, or nurse practitioner should perform an evaluation to medically clear you to have the procedure done.  After that, the Emsculpt procedure itself is simple to administer by other properly trained clinic staff.
