Hi I just wanna ask regarding amending the hairline. I do not like the hairline that i have now after HT, i feel it is to straight and i wish if itcwas more receded, can i make the hairline higher is that possible ?
Answer: Can a hairline be changed after a hair transplant surgery if it's too straight? Dear houssam23,Thank you for posting your question. It is possible to make a straight hairline into a more natural one. Hair restoration requires a considerable amount of artistic talent on the part of the surgeon. Very, very few physicians have significant training/schooling in the fine arts, and as a result, there are many transplanted hairlines out there that are too straight, in the wrong place, or simply unnatural in appearance. Repairing your work can be done, but it depends on which method of hair restoration you had, and how long ago the procedure was performed. If you’re not happy with the hairline that the physician placed on your scalp the first time, it’s not so likely that you will be happy with it on a second go-around. I would look for a physician who has dedicated his career and practice to the field of hair restoration surgery, with a proven track record of success in creating natural hairlines. More than one consultation may be necessary. As we say in this field, “the good thing about the results from a hair transplant surgery is that they are permanent. The bad thing about the results from a hair transplant surgery is that they are permanent.” So, consider your options carefully before proceeding. I hope this information is helpful to you.

Answer: You need to see your doctor if you want your hair line altered right after surgery. There is no hair length requirement for having a hair transplant surgery. It may be possible but you need to see your doctor for a definitive answer.

Answer: Possible This is tough but possible. We see this a lot in which patients get hair lines to low and doctors tell the patients what they want to hear and not what they need to hear in fear of loosing the case/sale. You should talk to a few hair transplant doctors in person about making this change.

Answer: Hair line design we spent considerate amount of time designing he hair line before the hair transplant as it is what frames the face. If you are unhappy after your hair has grown out, you can see a hair transplant specialist and discuss redesigning your hair line to make look natural.

Answer: Repairing Previous Bad Hair Transplant It is possible to repair bad artistry and results, but on a case by case basis. I have revised many patients unsatisfactory results from other practices. Please see the ISHRS website for a warning about unethical practices in hair restoration.Amending previous "BAD" hair transplant work is all too common. There has been a recent surge of unsightly results and I believe most commonly due to the automated "FUE" devices that have some unskilled practitioners thinking that this is an easy entry to add more income to their cosmetic practice. I would encourage all of you who are concerned about hair loss to see your family doctor or dermatologist (not part-time hair transplant surgeon) for their recommendation for medical treatment and potential referral for hair transplantation. Do a lot of homework before surgery to reduce regrets. Avoid hair restoration sales people. Please see my link to use as a guide to avoiding a "bad" hair transplant.
