Hello,Thank you for your question and pictures. Based on what can be seen it appears that you may still be swollen. Swelling can last up to two weeks after your injections. If it does not subside within the next few days you should reach out to your provider. Good luck!
Yes, this can be typical. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Dear SallyAlnass, dermal fillers have significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You also look like you may have bruised with your service. Generally it takes a few days for swelling associated with lip filler to settle down. This time frame is extended when you bruise. However, if this service not to your liking in the next few days, I recommend seeing your injector and having the service adjusted with hyaluronidase assuming you received a hyaluronic acid filler.
Yes, this is typical. There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer
This is not normal. The filler was not smoothly placed. I would go back to the injector to have them try and blend it a bit better. By a week, you should see less balling up and less nodules than that.

I would wait a week or 10 days until you are well. It probably wouldn't alter anything but why take a chance? I like my patients well when we do these elective procedures. In addition since you have an auto immune problem why take a chance? We like your immune system in good working order ...
