Hello,Thank you for your question and pictures. Based on what can be seen it appears that you may still be swollen. Swelling can last up to two weeks after your injections. If it does not subside within the next few days you should reach out to your provider. Good luck!
Yes, this can be typical. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Dear SallyAlnass, dermal fillers have significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You also look like you may have bruised with your service. Generally it takes a few days for swelling associated with lip filler to settle down. This time frame is extended when you bruise. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer
This is not normal. The filler was not smoothly placed. I would go back to the injector to have them try and blend it a bit better. By a week, you should see less balling up and less nodules than that.
Lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic sur...
Fillers are contraindicated with an active infection in your body. I suggest you wait until you're healthy again and done with your antibiotics.Best, Dr. ALDO

Thanks for your question. I would not suggest removal of the filler at this time. You're likely swollen and will get better pretty soon. If you're still unhappy at 3 weeks after your injection then you can dissolve the filler for sure.Good luck. Dr. ALDO
