Can I Get Fat Injections in my Breasts if I am Thin?

Obviously if there is no fat then the procedure is not possible. Most people do have some fat on their abdomens, inner thighs, flanks etc. also I have found that in thin patients a small volume of fat makes a big difference and is often enough to satisfy the needs.
I would have your plastic surgeon examine you and decide if this is an optional not.It does not make sense to me to have the patient put on weight before the surgery, unless they plan to maintain the increased weight. This is because the transferred fat survives as a graft and if you lose weight later you will lose volume in the grafted area as well.

Sometimes if a patient doesn't have enough fat to transfer, they're encouraged to gain some before the treatment. However, I would have to see you in person to make a recommendation for you. You may have fat somewhere else on your body that you aren't able to see.

which might not seems possible in your case since you are so thin.

Once the surgeon has examined you and will determine that you do not have enough fat for liposuction, then unfortunately you can not have fat to transfer to the breast. The good news is that generally with fat transfer with the breast, you do not need large amounts of fat, you need moderate amounts of fat. Most women end up being candidates for this. This is different than fat transfer of the buttock area where this area requires a  large amount of fat to be transferred. I am going to say it is best for you to be evaluated by a plastic surgeon who performs this procedure to see if you are a good candidate. 

I would recommend you visit with a Board Certified plastic surgeon who performs a lot of these procedures to assess what volume of fat can be taken from where on your body, so that appropriate expectations can be set. When you have a lack of fat donor sites, you have to consider whether you'd be willing to undergo liposuction of many different parts of your body (arms, armpits, stomach, flanks, hips, thighs etc) in order to collect enough fat for even a modest result. Your surgeon may be able to provide sizers to place into your bra to mimic a result of what 50-75 cc of additional fat would look like - if you are OK with this as a potential final result, then you can consider breast fat transfer. If this modest increase does not seem worth it, then you would need to consider a breast implant. 

Breast augmentation using your own fat can produce very natural appearing results. Women who have very small breasts can get appreciable augmentation, although the degree is limited by the ability of the breast recipient site to support the grafted fat tissue.

Women who have had previous pregnancies have more pliability of the breast tissue because of its pre-expansion. If pliability is lacking, tissue expansion of the breasts can be achieved using the Brava system, an external suction cup-like device. We use a modified Brava system to increase the vacuum level above that of the typical system; patients wear the device for a few hours a day in the weeks preceding their fat augmentation procedure.

In very thin patients, it can be a challenge to obtain enough fat to use for augmentation. Multiple donor sites may be needed. The efficiency of the fat harvesting process is increased through the use of special collection devices during liposuction; we use the Body-Jet Lipo-Collector for this purpose.

In most patients, an increased breast volume of one cup size is typical. To achieve this, 200-300 cc of collected fat must be grafted to each breast. Even in thin patients, this amount of fat is frequently obtainable from donor areas such as the inner and outer thighs and the lateral flanks. In thin patients it is essential that tiny micro-cannulas be used so that liposuction can be done with precision.

As you know for fat to survive, the fat must come from you and the location it is placed in must have a good blood supply. If you have NO fat you can spare the fat transfer operation cannot be done in you. Similarly, if you do not want to have breast implants, there is no point of discussing them either.

The ONLY other option is a long use of the nonsurgical, suction BRAVA system which will result in an increase of 1 cup size, You may want to look it up.
