Does pregnancy stretch out areolas after having areola reduction with permanent sutures?

Areolar reduction surgery can be performed using permanent sutures in order to correct the widened areolae and improve nipple position.
If you are planning on having children and breastfeeding in the near future, I would recommend to delay the surgery until after breastfeeding, because breasts undergo hormonal changes with pregnancy and breastfeeding, and it will be easier to achieve a more predictable result.

Pregnancy can stretch the size of the areolas. If you are planning future pregnancies it is best to wait until you have finished having children and breastfeeding before having further revision to your areolas.

It is possible that your areolae will stretch out again with pregnancy, since your breasts will enlarge with milk production. For this reason, it would be a good idea to wait until after you’ve finished having kids before considering another areola reduction.
