Would it be possible to reduce the apparent size of my areolae by lightening the perimeter with hydroquinone cream?

Would hydroquinone, another skin-lightening cream, another skin-lightening procedure, or medical tattooing be an affective way to change the color of the perimeters of my areolae to match the rest of my skin on my chest, thereby making them appear smaller?
