Based on the size of your implants it is fairly normal for them to feel high after surgery. As you get further out from surgery the implant will settle as your muscle relaxes. This usually takes a few months
Thank you for sharing your question. Though difficult to offer definite advice without a full series of photographs or an in-person examination it is common that at 5 weeks after implant placement that the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. As this swelling resolves, the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and filling your bra cup more. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. There is little that will hasten their "dropping" other than time. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. You are still early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
At 5 weeks, you are likely going to see more change over the next several months. If concerned, see your surgeon.
Congratulations on your breast augmentation. You have very large implants and I would expect that it will take more time for them to drop. Even smaller implants tend not to drop fully until 3-4 months. The important point is to follow up closely with your plastic surgeon so your surgeon can evaluate your progress. If your implants are textured you should not be doing breast implant displacement exercises and Iwill simply have to wait until he drop on their own.
You are still early in the healing process after breast augmentation. As the implants soften, settle and drop the breast shape will change. It can take 4-6 months before the implants look and feel like they belong to you. Be sure to keep any scheduled follow up appointments you have for his or her evaluation and advice. Good luck! Thank you for your question and photograph. Based on the photo and your description your diagnosis of a spitting suture is most likely correct. Ideally your plastic surgeon should remove this suture. You can however consult her primary care physician to see if he or she is willing to rem...
There is a lot of debate in the US about this, but, imo, there is no doubt that txt implants DECREASE capsular contracture (CC) rates by 2/3--~10% for smooth, and ~3% for txt! Given that CC is the most common complication, and if I can decrease the rate by 2/3 just by changing the implant, I t...
One of the more frequent questions I'm asked as an aesthetic plastic surgeon for patients considering breast implants is "how do I know what size, and shape I need?” The answer to this question has changed dramatically throughout the 25 years that I've been doing breast augmentation. I've also l...
