My BWD is 16.5. My current measurements are 38 underbust, 43 bust. I was recommended either Mentor Moderate Classic 640cc or Mentor Moderate Plus 800cc as they match my BWD. I am wondering if the 640cc is going to end up looking too flat as it is a lower profile implant. With the 800cc I understand there are higher risks of complications going that large. I have added the simulation photos for the 640cc. Any advice/recommendations on either size or the accuracy of the simulation are appreciated.
Answer: Hard to say- you'd need a consult | Breast Implants | Augmentation | Lift | Fat Grafting | Aesthetic Plastic Surgery | Expert Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most women do not wear the proper exact fitting bra size for their bodies 3) The exact volume (in cc) needed to change cup size is different for different body types (e.g. 32A to 32D requires a different implant size than 38A to 38D) 4) Be careful NOT to fall into the trap most women do- they see a certain implant size (e.g. 285 cc) or perhaps their friend had a certain size, and they want or request this or another size based on that. Everyone's body is different- 285 cc implants on your friend might look VERY different than they would on you. Be very careful not to make this mistake, because the goal is to find the right size and shape for YOU- for your particular body and your breasts. Because of those multiple factors, and because it is KEY to fully evaluate your breasts in person to make a full set of precise measurements to select the proper implant for you (incorporating factors like amount of breast tissue, implant type, base width, projection, etc), answering your question really would need a formal personalized consultation- to say anything before that would simply be guessing, which would be both unfair and unhelpful to you. Also, just FYI, each surgeon's measurements are slightly different, so numbers, experience, and overall aesthetic from one surgeon aren't necessarily the same as those from another surgeon! Your breasts are such a KEY area of your body and your femininity- therefore, you should ONLY trust an experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. As such an expert, I have had extensive training and experience with complex aesthetic surgeries under a multiple world-renowned experts in the field. I’d recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with aesthetic plastic surgery procedures) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Breast Implants I would not recommend this size and they will create problems long term. Large implants create large problems. I would let your tissues pick the size of the implants.

Answer: Size Selection Good morning, In my experience of performing over 500 augmentations a year for the past 20 years, I can tell you with certainty that those Vectra or other 3D imaging systems are probably the worst single way to choose an implant- your result will look nothing like those images. Those are just marketing tools that surgeons use to make you think you're getting some hi tech treatment, when in actuality they can distract from the real issues at hand such as your tissue characteristics. The best way to choose a size and profile is to have your surgeon measure you, review wish pics with them, and try on the implant sizers with several different tops. With all of that said, there is a huge difference between 640cc and 800cc, so you need to choose the size first, then work backwards and choose the profile. Furthermore, I have never, not even once, used a Mod Classic in that size range, and I perform over 200 XL augmentations a year. I would be surprised if Mentor has even sold a 640cc Mod Classic in the last ten years.

Answer: Breast implants The size implants you mention to me seem very large. You can’t trust the bwd method of implant selection. I know a lot of surgeons use it. They should base their recommendations on experience not some arbitrary gimmick.

Answer: Good Afternoon, Thank you for your question on Breast enlargement. No Simulation can actually give the perfect look as what you would have after the surgery. My suggestion is to is to get the measurements correct. Measure the breast diameter correctly, so that you can then match that with the breast implant diameter as well. Then you can choose the projection, if you want very high projection you can go for a larger implant, it could be a high profile implant as well or if you do not want so much projection then you can go for a moderate or a moderate plus. Based on these pictures the breast looks beautiful even with this small sized implant.
