I had facetite on my jowls over 2 years ago. I was left with these folds. Had a lower face and neck lift 1 1/2 years ago specifically asking to addresss the folds. Did not work. I've always thought maybe too much fat was removed with facetite? Pic 1 after facetite before lift. Pic 2 right after surgery. Pic 3 current.
Answer: How to Choose a Facelift Surgeon I have seen countless patients who have undergone prior facelifts in other offices, yet still they have lipstick lines and marionette lines. There are some complex surgical maneuvers that I employ -- addressing certain vectors and placing permanent sutures in a complex way -- that help to correct the marionette lines. Even so, I have found, on a patient-by-patient basis, that a combination of modalities is often required, and a bit of fat transplantation is often and additionally helpful, as well as lasering the the residual lipstick lines. I understand and empathize with patients because it is tremendously difficult to choose a facelift surgeon: how do you know who will successfully address your issues? How do you choose the right person? How do you know what will be the right fit? I suggest doing careful research and studying before-and-after photos. In addition, bring a long list of questions for your surgeon during your consultation. If your potential surgeon does not have time to answer each and every question to your satisfaction, keep looking! Also, and this is a shout-out to my staff, make sure that the staff is polite and easy to reach. You can also ask to speak to one of the doctor's patients who has undergone facelift surgery.

Answer: Facetite After a certain point, the "non-invasive" methods such as FaceTite will not be enough to achieve the outcome you are seeking. I would highly recommend a revisionary facelift/necklift to get the outcome you are seeking. These are all my own opinions based on the photos provided. I would recommend seeing an actual plastic surgeon who has great training (in a 6 year plastic surgery residency or 3 year plastic surgery fellowship) and experience in facial aesthetic surgery (usually completion of a 1 year aesthetic fellowship after the other years of actual plastic surgery training.)

Answer: Few thoughts Tough to say exactly without knowing how the Facetite was done (temperature, energy delivered, depth, etc) and exactly where it was done. I don't personally like Facetite to treat this region for a number of reasons. I would also be curious to know the details of your facelift, particularly which style of facelift was done (some treat jowls and marionette lines more effectively than others), and if fat grafting was done in conjunction with the facelift (which also is typically used to treat this area). You should be seen in person by an aesthetic plastic surgeon and evaluated to come up with a plan, but based on your photographs, the fix is likely a revision facelift with fat grafting.

Answer: Need for facelift and fat grafting Your immediate post op photo shows improvement around your mouth secondary to swelling. I am certain that you are exhausted from the time and expense of surgical and minimally invasive procedures that did not deliver. In the short term I would suggest filler to the marionette lines that are so troublesome along with Botox to the DAO. A deep plane facelift with fat grafting at the time of your initial face and neck lift along with peri oral laser resurfacing would have addressed the midface, lower face, and neck to your satisfaction.

Answer: Age 67, had Facetite, lower face and neck lift. Still have folds - Suggestions? Thank you for your question and photos. Full frontal and lateral face photos would've been helpful. I can address your lower face only, although there are hints that your upper face would need rejuvenation as well. You have those folds because your mandibular ligaments were not released by your surgeon. These are fixed fixation points of the face and you cannot improve them or diminish them if these strong ligaments and skin is released. This is a fact. Your upper lip is long and would benefit from an upper lip lift. This is very rejuvenating for the perioral area and lower face. You might need some periorbital fat grafting with a secondary face/neck lift. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in facelift surgery for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
