Originally, my facelift was beautiful I was so excited. But now my face fell I have jowls in my mouth just goes straight across. Will I eventually look better or am I going to need a another procedure? I'm also wondering if I need to switch doctors ?
Answer: Face Lift Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it appears that your results are not likely to change overtime. This could be a result of your skin type if you have thick skin since it is generally harder for face and neck lifts to hold on a patient with thicker skin. Answer: Some further questions 6 months is very early for recurrence of jowls. I would be curious of the technique used in your facelift, as some do not directly address the jowls, and your preoperative face shape. I would also examine you to see if your buccal fat pad is large and that may be contributing to your overall facial shape. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. I would typically wait until you're a year out before performing a revision.

Answer: Should I consider a facelift revision or will my results change over time? Hello @pinkpoodle55, thank you for your question and showing your pictures. Several factors can influence the healing process following surgery; including the surgical technique used by the surgeon, the type of procedure performed, and the level of recovery the patient is experiencing. I suggest waiting another six months for the tissues to heal completely to consider a revision. For more information and recommendations, consult with one or several board certified specialists. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Facelift sagging 6 months postop Hello! Unclear if one of your photos is before facelift or the current situation. At this point in time you will not be tightening up - you are actually settling into how the facelift will likely look. If you are unhappy with outcome you should visit with your surgeon and ask him/her their opinion about management. After that you can certainly seek a second opinion. You should meet with a board certified plastic surgeon and can find one at plasticsurgery.org. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Six months postop. Should I consider a facelift revision A full set of facial and neck photographs are required with your hair pulled back behind your ears to make a determination about being a candidate for a revision lower face and neck lift procedure. It's also best to wait at least a year for full healing before embarking on another procedure.
