Regardless of how good a face lift may be, it does not address the loss of volume, mostly fat, from some areas like upper cheeks, around eyes, lower lateral cheeks. Volume replacement and augmentation with fat grafts or fillers may compensate some of the loss and create more balance. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in fat grafting, is recommended. Good luck.

Hi Tiff! I see what you're talking about. For thin faces, a facelift can do wonders to improve the appearance. But, sometimes fat is needed. Fat transfer can be an excellent option to provide volume in areas like the cheeks and folds. This often has a very natural appearance and can be performed in clinic under minimal sedation. The fat declares itself over 1-3 months and we often over-inflate since we expect to lose 30-50% of what's placed on average. As for a revision, it's too early as the healing process can take through 12 months. Hope that helps!
