One eye normal double eyelid, other has weak/multiple creases - how can they be symmetrical? (Photos)
Hi doctors, I’m a male in my mid-20s with naturally uneven eyelids and no history of eyelid surgery, glue or fibers, or eye makeup. I’ve attached a 4-frame blink sequence (eyes closed → open). • My left eye (your right in the photos) has a normal, stable single supratarsal crease. • My right eye (your left) is the problem side: the crease is weak, the skin doesn’t fold cleanly when I open my eye, and the skin gets pushed upward and bunches near the brow / socket. I can see several small horizontal lines instead of one clear crease. When I look straight ahead or slightly up, that eye can feel a bit heavy, like extra skin is sitting on top and making the eye look more tired. It’s not pain inside the eye, more like the fold is unstable. I study computer science and spend many hours a day on the computer. I don’t have any known eye diseases or general health issues. My questions are: 1️⃣ From these 4 photos and my description, what do you think is going on anatomically with my right eyelid (weak supratarsal crease, mild ptosis, brow compensation, something else)? 2️⃣ What would you usually recommend to make this eye match the other one – non-incisional double-eyelid procedure, full incision, ptosis repair, or something different? Would you treat only the right eye or both for best symmetry? I’d really appreciate your interpretation of the photos and your suggestion for a realistic, long-term solution. Thank you.
