So I have this nose droop that I'm fine with, except for when I smile. I feel like it compensates my smile, making it look insincere. I would like to get this fixed NON surgically to hopefully better compensate my smile, and to have it not make it look as big when I do smile. One problem is I have to gather the money to pay for it myself and I'm still in high school. I deeply want to fix my nose tip, so it would be nice to know how much a rhinoplasty procedure would cost. Thank you so much!
Answer: Rhinoplasty Cost Rhinoplasty prices vary greatly because the rhinoplasty procedure itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. Therefore the cost range is pretty wide from $6000-$12,000. My recommendation is to first find qualified surgeons that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Otolaryngology. Find one or two surgeons you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that influence the price include: 1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office? 2. Type of Anesthesia - IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an RN? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, but also consider American Board of Otolaryngology trained surgeons 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - Tip Rhinoplasty only or complete rhinoplasty, open or closed technique, deviated septum repair,or breathing problems corrected, , how long, ?etc

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Non-surgical techniques may sound easy and appealing but will not help. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. You may also benefit from a cephalic rotation of your tip to turn up your tip slightly and fix your droopy tip. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Droopy nasal tip with smile Hi there, a rhinoplasty would be a more permanent solution to reshape your nose and prevent the nose from drooping with smile. In my experience the realself webpage is very accurate on prices. Check out the average cost on your region. Another more temporary option is to use a small amount of botox to prevent the droop in your nose. The droop in the nose during smile happens because a muscle called depressor nasii septi pulls on your nose. With a direct injection that muscle can be selectively weakened to prevent the droop during smile. The results last 3-4 months. If for whatever reason you do not like the results, the botox would wear off.Hope this helps! Good luck

Answer: Rhinoplasty for drooping nasal tip A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish lifting a droopy tip by surgical manipulation of the nasal tip cartilages. In addition, a hanging columella can also be reduced which gives the illusion of the nose being bottom heavy. To reduce the tip of the nose from drooping when smiling, it's important to release the depressor septi ligament. Answer: Rhinoplasty to Fix Drooping Tip Dear icelizard, Unfortunately there is not a non-surgical procedure to address your drooping tip. This would be addressed with rhinoplasty surgery. I would suggest while you are contemplating surgery to see some experts in the filed of rhinoplasty. Most surgeons like myself offer complimentary consultations so this would not require any out of pocket expenses and will fully inform you regarding rhinoplasty surgery. If you are still under the age of eighteen then you will be required to have a parent or guardian present for consultation. During consultation you can have digital imaging performed which will show you the proposed results and review the surgeons before and after photographs of similar noses to ensure the surgeon provides natural looking rhinoplasty results. Most patients who are still in high school elect to have surgery right after graduation before they start the new chapters of their life in either continuing education or the work place. If you choose to travel for the procedure then other consulting options are always available. I have included a link below so you can see how rewarding this procedure can be for young ladies like yourself and a video above of a patient with a similar nasal aesthetic. Best regards, Michael V.
