Two hours after procedure I have severe swelling in my lips inside and out. I thought the top lip would swell but not my lips. I have severe trout pout. Is this normal entry on lip line for smokers line. I had this done years ago and the lip was not touched. I'm concerned she has put some in my lips. Thank you.
Answer: Swelling in the lips Looking at the picture it seems that you are very swollen and have a bad bruise which is very common when injecting the lips. This will go away and the swelling will go down you can put ice on your lips for the swelling. if you have any questions or concerns you need to speak with your docotr this has nothing to do with the product that you chose.

Answer: Swelling in lips YOu have a large bruise in the lips which is why they are so swollen. This has nothing to do with which product was injected. IT will resolve. Some people inject the lines right from the border of the lip and others from above.

Answer: Lip Swelling After Juvederm -- Try Cannulas Next Time This is a consequence of poor technique and overfilling of the upper lip as compared to the lower (ie the lower should be larger than the upper). The swelling and bruising should subside in 1-2 weeks but if it does not, please see your physician to reverse the filler with hyaluronidase. next time get cannula injections to limit complications. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Juvederm For Smokers Lines You still have significant swelling and bruising that may take up to 2 weeks to fully subside, but I think in the end you will still be overfilled. The entry point will vary depending on the location and depth of the lines and the technique of the injector. I think you were probably given too much filler. If a practitioner insists on using Juvederm for the smoker's lines then very little needs to be given as the product does pull in a lot of water. I usually use Restylane Silk or Belotero when treating this area for a far more natural result. Make sure you follow up with your injector. If you are still unhappy once the swelling and bruising are gone then it can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase.

Answer: Filler for lip lines Hi there! Juvederm is a product known for pulling in water once injected and swelling. For this reason, I do not use it in the lips. Also, when used really close to the surface of the skin to fill in lip lines, it can look blue in sunlight. That is another reason why I don't like it in the lip lines. My product of choice for wrinkles around the mouth are prevelle silk or restalyne silk. Best of luck!
