I had about 6 months to look my best for my daughter’s wedding. I really hated my bra area and the rolls it made on my back. I went on a diet, but it didn’t seem to help with that area on my back. I had CoolSculpting done on the bulges around my bra. The fat rolls were sucked inside a large handpiece. It didn’t hurt that bad, but I could feel constant pressure. After the handpiece was removed the area was massaged. That part kind of burned and hurt for a little bit during the massage and a few minutes after, but not bad. I had really purple bruises in that area for a little over a week. I was also numb in that area for quite a few weeks. I really noticed the difference about 2 ½ months after the procedure when I tried on the dress for my daughter’s wedding. Well worth the money! Michelle was very sweet and really took her time to make sure I would achieve the results I was looking for!
This was the best procedure that I gifted myself. Dr. Osman was amazing with the results. My only problem was my tummy. That little pouch would not go away and I excercise 4- 5 times a week. It was time to do something about it. My hubby was shocked to see how flat my tummy is now. My clothes fit better, and I can wear fitted tops without feeling self conscious of my tummy.
I had some acne for most of my teenage life but it didn't get really bad until my 20's. I would constantly have breakouts of cystic acne on my chin and cheeks. Over the years it caused me to have very bad scarring. I would feel extremely insecure if I didn't have loads of concealer on my face. When my boyfriend and I moved in together, he got to see my face without makeup. "Oh my gosh, you really need to see a dermatologist," he said to me one day. It was one of my biggest insecurities. He offered to pay for me to see a dermatologist so I decided it was time to get my zits under control. The dermatologist suggested a combo of daily topical Epiduo and 3-4 Blu-U with Levulan treatments. I had done some lazer treatments when I was 18, which did not work, so I was skeptical. He told me that I would need at least 3 Blu-U treatments before I would see any results. After the first treatment I did not see any improvement, in fact I broke out really bad. My skin felt really soft and my pores were dramatically smaller so I went in for the 2nd treatment. After the second treatment I could see my scars lightening a bit. My skins texture continued to improve and I did not break out like the first time. After the third treatment, hallelujah my scars were sooo light, my skin looked like porcelain when I applied make-up, it was soft, small pores, and best of all it's been 4 months since I've had ANY breakouts. It was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. I think if I had a 4th treatment my scars would be gone completely. I am pregnant now so I will have to wait for the baby before I can get my 4th treatment but you bet I will be getting it. Before my first treatment I looked at this site for reviews and told myself I'd do my own review. It's a life changer! If you can handle a few days in the dark with red flaky skin you will have a lifetime of acne scars removed and no more acne. I don't even use zit medication anymore!! I love my skin!! People at my work comment on how pretty it is now :) Updated on 14 Feb 2018: It has been 3 years since I posted my first review. Since then I have not had any acne treatments or used any topical creams as I have been pregnant and breastfeeding two kids. When I was pregnant, both times, my acne flared up just as bad as it was before. It was if I had never had the treatment. I also noticed not long after my first review that I had developed hypopigmentation on my chin/cheek area. My skin also has a weird texture like I was burned. I also have age spots on my skin, I don’t know if it’s because I just had two kids, turned 30, or if it’s because of the burning from the blue light therapy. It doesn’t bother me too much, but I just wanted to update people to let them know that this treatment isn’t as miraculous as I had thought and the results didn’t last very long.
I had my procedure done and didn't feel a thing. I was back walking around the next day. its only been 2 weeks and I already have great results. I cant wait to see what I look like in a few more weeks. :)
I went to see Dr. Osman last spring for sculptra. I'm in my 20's and it's been a great experience. I had 2 treatments of sculptra about 7 weeks apart. I started to notice a difference a couple months later and it just keeps getting better and better. It's now been a year and the sculptra is still going strong! My face is much fuller now, yet it's so natural since its my own fat. He's the best! Updated on 27 Feb 2013: I had the sculptra put in my "nasolabial folds", well at my age I don't really have those lines yet, but there was a loss of fat there that cast shadows in that area though. The sculptra has filled that in nicely and the area now reflects light. I also had sculptra fill In the hollow below my cheekbone (between cheek & chin) because there was a little hollowing there too. Coincidentally, I had an acne scar pit along the nasolabial fold and the sculptra filled that scar out. Ha! One less acne scar to worry about :)
I've seen two cases, one of my own and another performed elsewhere. In both cases there was obvious fullness and firming of the treated area. Treatment is liposuction, and the fat can be more difficult than surrounding areas to remove.
Getting Kybella in an area treated by Coolsculpting a week earlier will not yield either treatment useless. Multiple treatments of either are often needed, but it's best to wait between treatments.
Wearing face makeup during your body lipo should be ok and not interfere with the procedure, but best to follow the advice of your surgeon.
To help your skin and keep it looking great, use a prescription skincare program which includes tretinoin and sunscreen, and do a series of IPL, Clear + Brilliant, and chemical peels. Maintain with skin care and these treatments every few months.
Smart Lipo, Renuvion, and BodyTite all tighten tissue. They will provide some improvement, but are unlikely to maximally tighten your skin.
