Am I being over paranoid ? Or does my lip look very similar to the dreaded duck lip?i have never had fillers so I am not sure what to except I feel like I am expecting to much of a natural result but that is what I was told juvedurm would give me? How much of the swelling will of gone in around 55s after juvedurm and how much of my end result am I seeing?

Juvederm is very hydrophilic which means it attracts water.  So it will give a plump appearance to the lips.  At only 2 days you will still have some swelling from the injection itself.  give it at least a week.  If you feel it is too full at that point you can have it dissolved with some hyaluronidase.

If you had a conservative treatment which was placed properly:  usually max one syringe with more filled in lower lip vs upper lip to maintain natural lip proportions 48 hours is too soon to make an accurate determination if you have natural results.  No always tell patients that you will think too much was injected in the first 48 to 72 hours and it can look duck like.  The second phase lasts from the 7th to 14th day where you will still have some swelling but you will love your results.  The final phase is after 2 weeks when all swelling is down. You may want more injeted at that point as most like their lips at the 1 to 2 week point the best.   You can have more injected at that time or boost at 3 to 4 months. It is common to get swelling after fillers into the lips.  It is not normal to have irregularities or severe swelling.  If you are unhappy you should speak to your physician and have the area injected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that reverses the hyaluronic acid filler.  For the next injections, consider Restylane Silk with cannula injection, this technique will limit the pain, swelling or bruising after the filler placement.  It often takes up to two weeks for swelling to subside on its own.  Find an expert in filler injections for your future treatments.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I think your lip looks like a recently filled lip. I would wait a few days to see the final result. If you do not like it,then the filler can be dissolved by your doctor.
