So I got juvederm in my lips a few weeks ago and loved it but one ml didn't make me quite as plump as I had hoped . I got the softer basic juvederm and am thinking about going back with juvederm ultra plus or whatever it's called ( sorry can't rememeber) because I've heard it gives a more plump look with 1 ml and lasts longer? Is that true?

Answer: More than 1 CC In Lips Hi Anne. This is a very common occurrence with our patients and one of the reasons is that there is much swelling in the lips. Because of this fact, it's difficult to put more than 1 CC in at a time and therefore many patients come back a couple weeks later for another. In addition, patients see the "finished product" right after the treatment go down as the swelling decreases. If I was your injecting surgeon I would probably advise you to wait four to six weeks and then if you are still wanting more volume then you can add more volume. Speak with your injecting surgeon regarding the types of Juvederm and he/she can fully discuss the make up of the products and why they were developed for certain areas of injection.
