It’s just been over 6 months since I had my rhinoplasty and my nose is still uneven. One side looks a lot less swollen than the other. The really swollen side also feels very thick to touch whilst the other side feels thin and normal. Is this something I should be concerned by?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question, depending on your skin structure, swelling may last from 1 year to 1.5 years. but it would still be more appropriate to consult your surgeon. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best regards!

Answer: Healing after rhinoplasty may take a full year. Generally, it's difficult to evaluate up close photos of the nose. Since you have thin nasal skin, an examination would shed light on your concern. Consider asking this question to your surgeon. Hope this helps! Doctor Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty recovery: what you should know Thank you for submitting your question and photos. Since recovery from a rhinoplasty procedure can take a year or more, it is difficult at this stage to assess your final result. During this recovery period, the nose can continue to shift in shape and alignment. At six months post-surgery, it is possible to still be experiencing slight swelling. It would be best to wait an additional six months at least to consider your rhinoplasty results, at which time you can better determine if further changes are necessary. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon for further guidance and suggestions.

Answer: Swelling can remain for 1 year It generally takes about 1 year for the swelling to completely resolve after rhinoplasty. For patients with thicker skin, the swelling may hang around for a long period. I would give your nose more time for the swelling to subside before assessing the final aesthetic outcome.

Answer: Swelling after rhinoplasty We usually suggest to our patients to apply tapes over the nose and, sometimes, nasal breathing tubes, to controle breathing and inside the nose swelling. Applied over night for a period of 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer if swelling persists, this seem to help controle postoperative swelling in most of our parients. Good luck.
