I am 6'0 and 147 lb ( slim) had over the muscle 345cc moderate silicon round microtext implants 18mo ago. I despised the distance when I first got them and still do now only its got worse - I would say I have masses stuck under my armpits rather than boobs.. Based on the before photo is this really a result I should have expected?
Answer: Implants sitting too far apart There are a number of reasons why implants can sit too far apart, or migrate towards the armpit. A helpful salutation to the problem is modification of the pocket where the implant sits. An internal bra can then be used to support your implants more centrally. This will have the added benefit of increased upper pole fullness when your implants are repositioned.

Answer: How pre-existing anatomy influences results from breast implants There are a few features of your anatomy that affect the results from breast augmentation. One is that the nipple-areolas are on the lateral half of the breasts, so if the implants were closer together they would point to the outside more than they do now. Another factor is that your rib cage appears to have a lateral slant. These are completely normal but work against having large implants close together.

Answer: Breast Revision Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to breast revision surgery. It appears that your preoperative anatomy reveals that your breasts sit quite low on your chest. When you place an implant with this particular anatomy, the implant sits low relative to the pectoralis major muscle, and therefore exerts more push inferiorly and to the sides. This is fairly predictable and an experienced breast surgeon should be able to evaluate this with you. In your case, I would perform an internal bra-lateral and inferior capsulorrhaphy, however you also would need a lift-mastopexy. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Breast augmentation Thank you for your question. Your implants are certainly more lateral than would be ideal. While your breasts and nipples were lateral to start, You certainly would have benefited from an implant that’s sad closer to the midline. The correction for this is to tighten the lateral implant pocket And therefore push the implant mediately. Sometimes A mesh can be used to help keep the implant in place. Good luck.

Answer: BA results Dear Reliable241035, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
