Hello, Looking for some advice. I have been unhappy with my body for a long time and decided do try hyaluronic fillers for my hip dips after being unsuccessful in finding a doctor for my bbl surgery. Everything went well but it’s not giving me the effect of a bbl. I have only had 150ml in total, of which quite a fair amount has now “disappeared”. I have now decided to go back to trying to do my bbl. Do I need to have the filler dissolved? Or is the bbl safe to do with the filler ?

Answer: Does filler require removal before a BBL? Hi and welcome to our forum!Hyaluronic acid fillers last 6-12 months before resorption by your body's naturally occurring hyaluronidase. Residual fullness in the areas of injection for a longer period of time most likely would represent internal scarring. It is best to wait for resorption of all "foreign" materials before embarking upon a BBL. Allow the inflammation, swelling, and hypervascularity of healing following filler injection to completely subside to minimize infection and bleeding risk. A considerable amount of hyaluronidase would be required to accelerate dissolution of the remaining product, and removal may be incomplete. Hyaluronic acid is a vvery inefficient and cost-ineffective buttock filler due to the volume of material required... (with BBL, we usually inject 350-1000 cc per buttock).Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
