Options to fix fat necrosis? (photos)

Hi. I had got a Brazilian butt lift 10 months ago and I’ve developed a fat necrosis I went back to my doctor he tried to drain it but it was already become hard . So he offered me a revision to do a surgical removal but I don’t want to go through that Truam again . Like my right side is so hard and I was going to try vacuum therapy for the butt but I am not sure . I would love some recommendations

Dear sofiyaa1,
it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from fat transfer to those areas. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Palpable fat necrosis comes from using poor surgical technique. Basically grafting too much fat into a small space stacking grafted fat on top of grafted fat.

The only way to correct this is the surgically cut out the lumps of dead fat.  typically patients will work together with the surgeons and point out the worst areas and individual incisions need to be made over each hard area that needs to be removed.

Fat necrosis does not come out with Liposuction equipment. It requires direct open excision.

When making an assessment on the outcome of a procedure we really need to see before and after pictures. If you don’t have before pictures didn’t ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took.

Patients who have cellulite before a BBL should be warned that fat transfer can worsen the cellulite.

Unfortunately there are no nonsurgical options that are going to have a significant impact.
