Blepharoplasty left heavy skin folds. Can this be corrected with a revision? Should I consider a brow lift? (photos)

Sadly, we live in a world where you will find someone to do anything you ask even if it is not right for you. I am so sorry you did not get the right eyelid surgery. You have underlying upper eyelid ptosis and this should have been fixed at the time of your blepharoplasty. However many eyelid surgeons really do the same surgery on everyone whether it is right or not. Your surgery removed your upper eyelid folds but did not correct your ptosis and likely made the ptosis worse. The right is now much heavier than the left and there is a compensatory eyebrow elevation that is stronger on the right side. You are essentially doing your own forehead lift. A brow lift will not fix the eyes but it will use up the resources that are needed to repair the upper eyelids. Don't do this to yourself. The fix is crease lowering surgery in combination with ptosis repair, which needs to be done through the front of the eyelid. It is called anterior levator resection ptosis surgery. The upper eyelid folds also need to be reconstructed. I offer these types of services. A detailed, in person consultation is needed to confirm your finding and determine your best options. Your eyes can be your best feature.

Very likely your brow asymmetry creates uneven upper eyelid folds. You may try to see how Botox can address that issue and, if efficient, consider brow lift. Good luck.

I’m sorry you don’t like your blepharoplasty result. The scars look good if perhaps a little high. I couldn’t see asymmetry that you mention when I looked at your preop picture. Your eyes look fairly symmetrical but your left brow is slightly lower than the right. You are frowning in some of your pictures. This and the brow asymmetry could be improved with Botox. This is temporary fix but can be a useful way to improve things simply and cheaply to see if it gives the appearance you wish.

Hi : Thanks for the photos .Your unequal brows are related to unequal eyelid height. You would benefit from an evaluation of eyelid ptosis and not brow lift surgery. Revision blepharoplasty would improve crease height and the heavy skin folds. Best Edward H Bedrossian Jr. MD FACS

it looks like your brows are already a tad too high. I agree you have some asymmetry, but nothing as skilled neurotoxin injector (Botox) can't fix.
