7 months post op and unhappy with results - could this be lateral displacement? (photos)

Thank you for your question. You look to have a great result from the photos. I tell my patients that great bras create great cleavage. Often times the shape of the breasts and the chest wall/sternum dictate how medial the implants can be placed. If the muscle release is too aggressive you can get symmastia (uniboob). It looks like your skin is fairly lax and so putting in larger implants to fill that out is a disaster waiting to happen. All breasts migrate laterally when lying down to an extent. I think that it is the laxity of your skin envelope that is what is keeping you from having the shape that you want. That unfortunately is not something that surgery can fix. It would be interesing to see your preop pic alongside.

Naturally, breast fall to the side when laying down. However, your lateral pocket could be tightened to minimize this movement. don't go bigger for this will become worse.

Based on your pictures, there’s no evidence that anything was done incorrectly. You have skin laxity and stretched out breast tissue.

It’s not really clear what your question is other than you’re not happy with your outcome.

You are now 7 months after an implant exchange (with smaller implants) and breast lifts. With the larger implants you had prior to this surgery, your breast skin was stretched and required breast lifts. Now your breasts sit apart further than you desire when you are supine. Do you still have extra breast skin? Is the old implant cavity larger than optimal? Is the replacement implant too small?
A consultation and re-examination by your plastic surgeon could help you. You both can discuss options for improving your appearance.
