How could I improve my neck and side profile?

I hate my side profile so much! I have a weak chin and my neck and nose are disgusting! My neck just goes straight down, no definition, I feel like this is because my jaw/chin is slightly smaller. And my nose is fairly big with a hump. I just wanted to know what would be the best procedures to improve my side profile. Thank you

It's difficult to confirm what #solution is best without photos. Hence, it's best to begin by consulting with a surgeon in-person. A neck lift is a general term used for rejuvenating the neckline to create a more youthful attractive appearance. Factors which are considered during your consultation to determine if you are a #candidate for #rejuvenating the neck include: •Visibility and amount of excess fat below the chin and along the neckline.•The presence of banding down the front of the #neck.•The amount of #excess skin and condition of your skin.•Chin Deficiency.•Presence of Prominent Digastric Muscles (a.k.a. submandibular gland fullness).During the examination the chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline.  A weak #chin means there is not adequate chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local anesthesia. Thank you for your question, Aj44. Keep in mind that many facial plastic procedures can be performed in conjunction with one another. You can improve your neck and side profile by having a greater understanding of what you would like to receive. The hump will be easy to remove, and the jaw/chin can be addressed by a necklift or a chin implant. I suggest you consult a board certified physician whose offices have the capabilities of imaging technology that allows patient and surgeon to create images of the patient if they were to receive certain procedures. Before a patient could be candidate for a surgery, they have to be in
great health. If a patient is in good health, then I look at the anatomy to
guide my recommendations.  When looking
at your anatomy I would look for:1) Excess fat in the neck2) Excess skin in the neck3) Poorly defined jawline4) Poor definition in the cheek area5) Jowls6) Deep marionette lines7) Weak ChinIf you have a fairly heavy neck and to get you the best result
your would need a more aggressive lift.  In my practice I would recommend:1) Facelift2) Midline platysmaplasty with aggressive removal of fat in neck3) Direct liposuction of the jowls4) Chin implant5)  Mulitleval fat grafting or cheek implants to create
definition in the cheek area6) Consideration of facial chemical peel to improve quality of

A full set of photographs of the face are required to make a determination about what may be needed. A closed rhinoplasty approach can address shaving down the dorsal hump and decreasing the projection of the nose. A chin implant  can be placed through submental incision to give added projection to the chin to help with facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to the overly projecting nose. When there is excess fatty deposits in the neck, a neck lift procedure can address removal of the fatty deposits  above and below the platysma muscle, in addition to a platysma plasty. Hi, I have performed and taught Rhinoplasty for over 30 years often combining chin augmentation using a chin implant.  From the comments, it seems that a chin implant to add projection that creates harmony and balance to the lower face is warranted.  Rhinoplasty can reduce the dorsal hump and refine the nose making it more naturally attractive.  The two combined would create a natural improvement to the face from front and profile views.    If you have "jowls" this is sagging
facial tissues and an indication for some form of a facelift.  The
underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and
re-sutured.  The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions
closed.

My most popular facelift is the minimally
invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive
facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane and subperiosteal facelifts) but
with these added benefits:

•very small incisions

•minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and
swelling = rapid recovery

•can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or
without anesthesia

•no incisions within the hair = no hair loss

•excess fat can be removed

•excess skin removed from the face and or the neck

•cheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with
dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implants

•most patients fly back home to parts all over
the world in as little as 3 days post-op
