Why is my muscle bulging under my jaw?

Question

I had platysmaplasty and lip a month ago and had no swelling at first. Now four days ago the muscle under my jaw, riright underneath the jowl is bulging and swollen. My Dr says it has to just be swelling. Could it also be platysmaplasty relapse or a swollen lymph node or gland? -How will I know and how long should it take to subside if its a lypmph node or just a swollen muscle? Is there anyway to determine this? I also had a cold and wound breakdown on my chin incision.

Relapse should not cause muscle bulging, but it would cause repeat sagging of the skin.  Lymph nodes are usually no in the middle of the neck (there are exceptions).  One month is a short time relatively after this surgery.
