Had an FDL nearly a year ago, I still have excess skin, quite a lot of it. Do I need another full FDL again? (photos)

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs.  It appears that you have obtained a very nice improvement through your initial FDL and depending on an in-person examination of your tissues, room for improvement may be possible.  Please remember that patients who have had significant fluctuations in weight loss will always have some degree of skin laxity that is greater than in this individuals who did not.  There also needs to be some skin excess to allow for hyperextension at the waist.  See a series of surgeons to assess your candidacy for surgery, and your desired results.  Hope this helps.

Congratulations on the weight loss. It would be optimal to have a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon experienced in procedures after weight loss. With most people that have lost as much weight that you have it is necessary to perform a circumferential procedure (such as a belt lipectomy or body lift) to be able to remove enough tissue to make the remaining skin tight.  Sometimes, simply revising the FDL will not allow the surgeon to remove enough loose skin. 

Dear Aminamo,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you have loose skin, then you might need a revision surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Thanks for Sendung your question and photos. I am a Plastics Surgery Consultant in the NHS. Post Weight Loss body contouring is my main work load. 
I can tell from the photos that your scars healed beautifully well. In terms of contouring, You have already very good curves. Please don't expect your skin to be that tight. Skin is a soft and stretchable part of our body. Also, after massive weight loss, the quality and stretchability of the skin is markedly changed. 
I don't think another FDL would be my first choice, however, liposuction could improve on the shape and provide you with more defined curves. Please discuss with your surgeon as it appears that he/she did a good job.
