Thank you, Dr. Dry, for your exceptional work and for helping me love my results!
I'm out of surgery and feeling good! REALLY sleepy and a little sore but the pain is minimal. I'm terrified of the constipation as I've felt it after having kids so I am going to try my hardest not to take my hard pain meds and stick to Tylenol/ibuprofen. I'll update you all in a few days!
I went through puberty and never grew breast. After I had my son I knew I wanted implants. I went from 36A to 36DD. Had a donut lift and implants. 385 on right 350 on left. Never been more happier so in love and confident
First off, I have wanted this procedure for over 30 years. Even when I was smaller I had a fairly large pooch I had inherited from my equally small mother. I know the upper part of my abdomen probably had some deep, visceral fat but I was so tired of people asking if I was pregnant. I wouldn't ask someone that at any time? I mean really! Anyway, after waiting an additional 2 years because of COVID and Dr. Dry wanting me to try and lose additional weight plus other unforeseen things, I finally got my body semi-back. I could not be happier. He warned me that it wouldn't be the perfect (think model) type of TT because there would likely still be a roundness to the upper abdomen because of the visceral fat. ((BTW, I haven't seen much roundness at all) I told him I had NO expectations except to look better than I did and to finally feel better in my clothes. He was so sweet and kind and went over every single thing, answered all my questions. This whole mess er...surgery, started back in February 2021. First there was a postponement due to COVID...which delayed it all until May but then my brother passed away, so we postponed it until June when Dr. Dry recommended I lose another 20 lbs (I lost 4 ... sigh)We rescheduled for July...sigh. And here's where things kind of went sideways. I had my operation scheduled for July and was beyond excited. I was all ready. Had my sister fly in to act as my little helper, rented an AirBnB because I live 3 hrs away and didn't want to drive back in 2 days for my post op appointment, and I am sitting and waiting to be taken back into the OR. Dr. Dry opened the curtain and smiled at me and said, "Now, about Nicotine". My heart sank. I do not smoke, haven't for over a year. But I do have friends who smoke. I am a former medical professional so I know the risks of healing if you have Nicotine on board. But, stupidly, I had poo-pooed second hand smoke thinking it was yet another overblown statement that goes around. Well, it's not. Your body doesn't know the difference between you smoking and a friend smoking while you inhale. He told me they wanted only what was best for me and that he couldn't take a chance on me not healing properly, so they canceled my surgery right then. I was beyond shattered. I cried, got dressed slowly, and walked defeated out to an area where I met my sister. He walked up to me and said," we'll work it out. We will! And I'll see you soon." I was blubbering as my sis drove me back to the BnB.We told the owner my surgery (no details of course, to him) had been canceled, and he was kind enough to refund the balance of my money. My sis and I had a very nice holiday together and she was pleased the surgery had been canceled. See, she was terrified something would go wrong in surgery and we are VERY close. She had just lost her husband and we had lost my brother and she did not want to lose me. Even tho' I reassured her, it was futile. I called after I got home and asked when Dr. Dry was next available only to be told it would be over a year. I was extremely upset. But they had another Dr. they had just got in.. a Dr. Day, would I like to schedule a pre-op with him? I asked if they had some info and photos of past work sent to me and they did. I was satisfied and arranged to meet with him. He was also very personable and we rescheduled my surgery for Sept. I had to keep getting nicotine tests until it was all out of my system (Nicotine will stay in your system up to 4 days, but a blood test can detect it up to 4 wks). Finally, after 3 wks I tested negative. Then I got another phone call...Dr Day's request for privilege's at the local hospital was still pending because there was a huge backlog of applications. I swear I am a Murphy that is how many times I had problems scheduling etc. She said, "Dr. Day is still waiting for his privilege's, but Dr. Dry had has a cancelation would I like to move into that slot? I said YES!. Not only was he my first choice, but it would be scheduled in less than a month! So....extremely long story short, I got my surgery! 4 total cancellations or re-scheduling's and I was finally going to get the long awaited surgery.I hired a lovely nurse to stay the first night with me. I got a room at an Extended Stay for the time from the surgery to the first post-op appointment. Ok, background info pretty much told here is my info I am 65 5'3" and was 160 the day of surgery (this was after a 20 lb weigh loss over 3, yes 3, years...that's how long it takes for me to lose weight. I had zero issues with the surgery. First recommendation: After my recovery, my adorable nurse drove me back to the hotel where I had made a bed out of a wedge pillow, knee pillow and 2"foam. This was literally the most comfortable bed I had EVER slept on.I swear to God if it didn't look like hell I'd leave it up in my house forever. This bed kept me on my back and at a bent angle. I already have back issues, so I was concerned about the walking around bent, but I really didn't have issues with it because I used a walker and cane for most of the walking I had to do. Second recommendation: I lived mostly on Fairlife CorePower Protein Shakes (absolutely the yummiest I had ever tasted, and I've tasted tons of protein shakes, trust me). Only 170 calories ;there is also one that is 240 calories, but I don't know why it's more caloric as it has the same 26 gms of protein), for the first couple of days and it made it IMMENSELY easier to have a bm.I never had abdominal cramping or severe constipation like most people do with being on pain pills because I was on a liquid diet, basically. I wasn't hungry so this worked out well. Plus I would drink as many as I wanted if I was hungry. I was numb on my lower abdomen but I was like that before this surgery. I had had a hysterectomy years ago and had never regained feeling. Frankly, I didn't care. You will not regain the feeling 100% so don't expect to. It really is a minor trade off to having the surgery, plus if you did regain the feeling it could always be painful or itchy, so don't sweat it.My belly button was perfect, VERY red so I have been putting alcohol on it every am and pm. I have had a breeze recovery. I drove the 3 hour trip home after my post-op appointment. Putting the huge amount of stuff away that I had brought with me, was the hardest, but I only carried small amounts until I was done. The hardest part of recovery for me was not doing too much and forcing myself to rest, but after I did, it was a peach. I have had virtually NO pain, except for the liposuctioned areas which scream every time I get in and out of bed. After 4 days I stopped taking the pain pills and switched to Tylenol at night, or whenever. I walk mostly upright and only used the walker for 2 days, so I don't recommend getting one. The lounger I purchased for watching TV has never even been used, but I can use it come summer outside. I would say, don't spend a huge amount of money buying all the stuff and trust your body to be able to tell you what to do. The cane has probably been the best for getting around that I would recommend. All in all, this has been the easiest experience I've had with a surgery. So far. Knock on wood. I am only out a week, afterall. I will continue to update, hopefully I won't be so long winded next time, as I recover. Sorry this has been SO long! Updated on 6 Oct 2021: It was 2 weeks yesterday that I had my surgery. I am chomping at the bit to exercise and get back to my routine. Other than a few twinges from the liposuction I have zero pain and am walking upright now. I can't believe how easy my recovery has been. At my latest appointment he said he had taken 7 lbs of fat and skin and was surprised I had lost weight as most patients gain weight after surgery because of swelling. I stuck to a strictly liquid protein diet for the first few days and I wonder if that's why I lost some weight. Anyway, since then I'm eating regularly although perhaps not as much because I'm not as hungry or active, and lost an additional 2 lbs. I hope it stays off! I'll update again in a week or so. Updated on 24 Oct 2021: I continue to love my new body. I'm still a little swollen. I see Dr. Dry on Thursday and hope he will give me the go ahead to get my lymphatic massage. I've lost 3" off my waist so far. I love being able to look down and see my toes. Also I can now fit into some of the dresses I haven't been able to fit for years (yes, I should have donated them years ago but they are in my 'I have a dream" wardrobe). I tried on a pair of size 8 jeans the other day and they actually fit. Not all brands fit but I was delighted that I could pull them up and not have them stop at the abdomen, nonetheless. Updated on 24 Oct 2021: Apparently, I can't add additional photos without posting a comment so I'll blather on about stuff until I get the required 200 characters. So how's everyone doing out there? I think the hardest thing about this is not being able to exercise or lift stuff. I mean, after the first week I was ready to get back to normal. I did overdue it one day and was really tired afterwards, but not in pain or anything.
This was my first, and final consultation for a breast augmentation through doctor Dry's office. His assistant Tocarra made me feel so warm and welcomed. I scheduled my surgery the very same day! Dr. Drys team is absolutely fantastic and he is a truly amazing surgeon despite my 21 questions per week. They all assured me to trust the process and I'm glad I went here instead of anywhere else! Would and do highly recommend to friends looking to add to their self confidence!
I’m 32 years old, no children, I’ve been considering getting my breast done for years but I always had nice boobs until I lost weight and it just took all the volume out of them. At first I was looking for doctors in Miami but I ended up finding great doctors here in Seattle. My breast lift with implants was scheduled for 9/9/20, I’m getting 520cc high profile natrelle in the left and right. I was not in as much pain as I thought I was, the first 4 days was the most pain that I had along with soreness and feeling stiff. My left boob is still sitting way higher than my right currently, I’m hoping it starts to drop soon. I have my next post opp appointment on 9/22. I’ll update then! Updated on 18 Feb 2021: I lovvvvvve my boobs so much, sometimes I wish I went bigger, but they are perfect! I’m starting to get a lot more sensation in my nipples, I honestly feel like I am going to be wayyyy more sensitive to touch!
I’ve always had large breasts and in fact had a reduction done when I was 22. Since then I’ve had 3 children, breastfed and I’m left with saggy pancakes. I’ve always wanted breasts that didn’t NEED a bra and I’m finally going to get them. After researching and getting referrals I decided on Dr. Dry who has done several boobs for some of my close friends. I’d say my saggy boobs are about a D cup but only because they are wide, not full. I just had my pre-op appointment and we decided to go with 375-400cc gummy implants. I don't want large breasts, just nice breasts. Dr. Dry has my wish pics and he will decide on final size when he’s in there. I’m nervous about the pain as I remember my recovery before was pretty rough. But I’m also totally excited to finally be getting this done. Dr. Dry was great at answering all my questions and giving me realistic expectations. I have 2 young girls and now I’m trying to figure out the best way to tell them. I worry about them being self conscious about their bodies if they know I’m “improving” something like this about myself. Anyone have any advice for this talk? Updated on 17 Nov 2019: These are all wish pics of the type of breasts I’m hoping to have after all is said and done! Updated on 24 Nov 2019: Just over 2 weeks until surgery! I wanted to be sure to get my before pics up here so there can be a good comparison to the after results. I can’t wait to fill this sexy bralette! My breasts are wide so doc said I’ll need a little bit bigger implant than I originally wanted. First thought was a 325-350cc and doc suggests 375-400cc. Otherwise if they are too small and not wide enough the new boobs will be further apart and more to the side, no thanks. Ha. Told my doc I don’t need big boobs, just nice ones! Updated on 10 Dec 2019: I can’t believe how quickly it went for me leading up to this day but the time has COME!!! Check in this afternoon and new boobs by tonight. Eeekkkk. I’m beyond excited but also feel the nerves setting in. I took a few last minute pics in my suit so I can compare before and after. Wish me luck!! I’ll update soon. Updated on 10 Dec 2019: Surgery was done today and from what I saw I’m so happy with the outcome. Can’t wait to share more progress pictures. Doctor ended up doing 385cc gummy ear implants. Home and in bed resting. The anesthesia made me super tired and a bit nauseous. Staying on top of the pain meds so that’s helping. Stay tuned..... Updated on 15 Dec 2019: The surgery pain is getting better every day. Was super constipated even after doing ALL the things for several days. That was almost worse than the pain of my breasts. Finally overcame that challenge and now feeling so much better. I can already see the swelling getting better and the shape adjusting. Very happy with where I’m at as of day 4! Updated on 16 Dec 2019: This is day 6. I’m off pain meds now, feeling really good. I have the occasional burning sensation on the under side but it goes away pretty quick. Still taking things slow and easy. Saw the doc today for my first post-op visit and he said it all looks good. Keeping all the tapes on for another week. Updated on 24 Dec 2019: Happy with the results and feeling good. Go back again this Friday to take off the tape for the first time and see how the incisions are healing up. Updated on 24 Dec 2019: Filling out old bras, buying new bras and bought my first new dress where I could show off the new cleavage! Love how things are looking!! Updated on 28 Dec 2019: Yesterday was the first time they took off all the tape so we could see how things were healing. Its a work in progress and having had a reduction several years ago I know not to worry about every little imperfection at this point. Still so much time for healing. Time to start massages! Updated on 7 Feb 2020: Things are getting better each day, each week. Here are updated pics....
I had my first kid very very young so I don't even remember what my pre-kid breasts looked like. I am so excited to finally be fixing them!! I decided to go with Dr. Gavin Dry out of Bellevue, WA. after going to a ton of consultations in the Seattle/Tacoma area. I really liked the vibe of his office, staff, and him. I was really nervous about going through with this procedure and everyone there has put me completely at ease. I am so excited to fix these sad puppies. One thing in particular that I really like about him is his request for print outs of my favorite before and afters so he can pin them to the wall of the OR while doing the procedure to make sure he is achieving what I'm looking for. Updated on 17 Aug 2019: Trying on my post surgery bra to see what the difference will be once they’re done. So excited but SO incredibly nervous. Updated on 21 Aug 2019: Day 2ish of having these bad boys and I really did t expect the pain to be that horrific. Especially because I have a high pain tolerance. But the daily meds I take make my opiate receptors maxed out so that’s the only reason it was hard to get the pain managed and under control. I also can’t take the muscle relaxers because of the deadly interaction it has with my daily meds. It’s a lot better today though. It still hurts but the percs take the edge off. I love how they look so far. I just can’t wait until they’re not so tight and hard. Its like the worst engorgement ever! When theyre like hard as rocks and super tight and painful. There’s just no tingling like you would get with emgorgement. Updated on 24 Aug 2019: Pain has definitely gotten better. They’re still super super high and tight but they are getting softer day by day. The worst is what feels like a bee sting in my armpit and left arm. But as far as healing goes, everything is on the right track. First follow up went great. I’ll be seeing my surgeon again in a week to take off the dressing and have a first look at the incisions and my nips. I forgot to add that I got 505cc hp silicone sientras under the muscle with an anchor lift. I’m 5”4 and 160lbs. Updated on 28 Aug 2019: Pain has gotten better. It really only hurts at night now. I’m loving how they look. Friday they will take the bandages off and I’ll be able to see fully what they look like. I can’t wait. This has definitely been an experience. I’m so glad I’m finally getting out of the woods as far as the pain goes. It was brutal. Still pretty swollen and super bloated but I’m loving the results so far. Updated on 30 Aug 2019: Finally got to see what they look like with out the bandages today and I love them! The pain is so worth it. Updated on 2 Sep 2019: I seriously loooooove them! I hope I still love them just as much when they drop. I hope they don’t drop too much. I like where they’re at haha Updated on 5 Sep 2019: Incisions at 2 weeks. Healing great! Hoping I don’t get that opening at the T like a lot of women do. I do have a small hole-ish on my vertical incision only it’s parallel to it. Wondering if anyone knows what it is. And man!!! My areolas are wonky! They are not evenly circle. I hope when they fully heal that the even out. If not then I guess at least my husband and I are the only ones who have to see them. I thought I was very transparent with my desire to have nice looking nips. But out of everything that can go wrong, I’ll take it! Updated on 7 Sep 2019: I really can’t wait for life to get back to normal. I just want to be able to get back to work and do house work and all of that. I’m worried I’m doing too much now and I’m compromising my healing. Updated on 8 Sep 2019: Getting cleavage and they’re softening up so they’re getting closer together!! I’m so happy! They have been far apart. I absolutely love my new boobs! I hope they stay this perfect!!! Updated on 12 Sep 2019: I don’t want them to drop! Just fluff haha I love them!! Incisions are healing nicely although I have noticed a few stitches popping through and am having some leakage at the T spot. Other than that everything’s been great! Updated on 20 Sep 2019: My areolas are just so sad looking. I’ll probably end up getting them tattooed so they look symmetrical. I mean it’s the only thing I don’t like. I absolutely LOVE them otherwise. I do have a small hole in the T of my incision that worries me but I have a follow up app today so that helps my anxiety. I want them to fluff but I don’t want them to really drop anymore haha Updated on 28 Sep 2019: I think they have dropped and fluffed. I absolutely love them!! It’s so hard to get a good picture. Will still wear tape for another few weeks. Updated on 4 Mar 2020: Getting this procedure was by Friday the beat thing I’ve ever done for myself. I absolutely LOVE my new tatas lol. Dr Dry did such an amazing job! They have settled into place but are still nice and perky for how large they are. I highly recommend Dr Dry and his team!
4 weeks later and my breasts are still uneven. since the moment I got out of surgery my right side was much bigger than my left. when I asked the nurse why she sarcastically said girl you just got out of surgery calm down. At this point it is still much larger and I keep getting told it's because of overactivity on my right side. when I asked to see my chart I found out that more fat was taken out of my left side than my right side however my right side was originally already a larger breast. before my operation we had agreed that my right side was larger and would have more fat taken out however the opposite side had more fat taken out leaving my breast even more lopsided. Because it is fairly early I do not know the final result however I have a follow-up with my surgeon to see if there is anything to be done to correct this. At this point I'm not sure if he will stand by hiswork... as she is within medical group Athenix. My nipples are also oddly shaped and I have been told this will even out with time but time will tell. Updated on 28 Aug 2019: Went in at my 6 weeks (I had to request to see him and not just the nurse) and I was told we would have to wait and see the results. I asked for a timeline and was told swelling is still there and it would be 4 to 6 months. After my 6 week checkup there won't be anything else until my 6 months which won't be with my actual surgeon. I won't see him again until my one year. I am not willing to wait that long. Sooo once I'm 4 months I want to schedule another appointment about the correction. It isn't as bad as the pic above but still quite a bit different. He said they could remove some fat from my bigger side if it didn't correct itself but did not say who would front the bill. Also I'm concerned about it leaving a droop in that breast if we remove more fat after it's been stretched out so long. On the bright side he himself always has great bedside manner with me and takes the time to answer all my questions. (Even though his nurse sighs and checks her watch while we talk) Updated on 6 Jul 2020: It was very hard waiting out the swelling... in the end they do look pretty amazing!! You are worth every penny and I actually feel bad for all the crafts I gave him In my first in my first post. I had more than one procedure done with Dr. Dry including lips. He made sure I was satisfied in the end and if there was anything that needed revisions it was taken care of. I actually tried to delete my original post because I do not feel that way more he did a great job however I can’t figure out how to delete it. Updated on 6 Jul 2020: This is my one year photo after the procedure. Only regret is that I didn’t go a smaller. I’m a D. As I have gained a little weight since my surgery it went straight to my boobs and I know as I continue to age (And gain weight as I age) they will likely continue to get bigger. Updated on 10 Jul 2020: These are my before pics. This was me after having kids my breast size shrank and then further shrank after I had about 15 lbs weight loss. I was super in shape but my breasts looked horrible. Best decision to have the surgery the scares were worth it for me.
I am a mother of 3 babies. I nursed the all, after weaning my youngest I noticed my breast were deflated. I started my search for a breast fat transfer and I found Dr. Dry, he far exceeded my expectations and I’m happy I made the choice to go through with this procedure. Pros: He knew what he was doing and I could tell by my 24 hour post op results. Great bedside manner and very realistic in what I would walk away with. Super helpful in my post op care, very caring and there for his patients. I mostly like that it’s natural no foreign object in my body. Cons: Breast fat transfer is unpredictable you never know what’s going to stick and what will be reasborbed. You’re limited to 1 cup size increase so if you want more you either have to a)get more fat grafts or b)go with implants Updated on 14 Oct 2018: I’m 10 days post op and my breast are settling quite nicely. Still sleeping in a recliner no pressure on my breast in any way. I’ve noticed the swelling has dropped a lot and the volume seems to be the same. I was 37.5/37.75” before surgery now I’m 40.75”. I will continue to check measurements until month 3 (takes about 2.5/3 months before you see final result) Updated on 15 Oct 2018: My surgeon doesn’t use drains he just left my lipo incisions open (they’re really small) for the fluid to drain out of them. Well I’m a fast healer so my incisions were closed one day post op. Since then fluid has filled the bottom of my belly (seroma) it doesn’t hurt it’s just annoying to have to go to the clinic from where I live to get them aspirated a few times a week. I have added a few photos so you all can see. When you press on the bottom of my belly it ripples like waves. Not all people get seroma but when you do they’re an annoyance. Lol Updated on 22 Oct 2018: My breast are still looking really good! Still loving my results this far.....annnnnnnd I got a drain put in so I didn’t have to keep going to get it aspirated.....will get it out when drainage is 30ml or less for 24 hours. Excited to see where I am at my 5 week post op appointment!! Ttyl RS ladies! :-) Updated on 8 Nov 2018: This is my week 3 and week 4 post op photos! So far I’m still hanging on to most of the fat. I have started working out and have my 5 week post op appointment today. I’ll update photos after that. I’m going to be starting VelaShape today as well so I’ll be updating on how that goes. :) ttys Updated on 11 Nov 2018: Hello ladies! So I’m - little I’ve 5 weeks post op and the same weight as my pre-surgery weight (168) my breast have settled a lot more now. They’re soft and can be manipulated, Ive switched to wearing a sports bra a few days past 4 weeks post op. My measurements before surgery (at 168 lbs) was 37.5/37.75 inches, now at 168 lbs my measurement is 40.75 inches. I have posted a picture of the difference in my breast at the same weight. I am loving my results so far. I will be going for round two to remove my upper back/bra roll fat for a transfer to my breast. I’ll be doing that at about 1 year post op. As far as VelaShape goes, Dr. Dry comped me 3 massages, I had my first one at my 5 week post op appointment and it worked wonders for my scar tissue and breaking that up. I’m super excited for my next ont this weekend!! Well I hope you all enjoy!! Updated on 30 Nov 2018: I am currently 8 weeks post op. According to my research the fat I have in my breast is my final result. I plan to go back at 1 year post op to get it done again. I love my results this far. Still swollen in my belly with scar tissue on my sides and back. My VelaShape appointments have helped with my belly and breaking up that scar tissue. I can’t wait to see my final liposuction results in a few months. Updated on 15 Dec 2018: Overall I am so happy I did this procedure. I do want more volume so I will be going for round two but I did gain a full cup. I went from an A to a 38 B. This however, will be my last update for my breast as this is my final result. I will update again in April for my 6 month post op update when it comes to the lipo of the full abdomen and flanks/hips so you all can see that final result of that. Updated on 18 Jul 2019: So I’m still LOVING my results!! But this far along there are some things I noticed...1st: The fat removal was uneven so I have random pockets of fat. The surgeon said he will remove it if I wanted him too. 2nd: my breast are bigger than I thought I’m actually a small C versus a B so I gained 2 cup sizes. 3rd: I discovered a lump in my left breast. Haven’t gotten imaging yet but my Primary Care Provider says it’s most likely a cyst. Other than the uneven fat removal and the lump discovered 7 months post op I’ve been doing good back to weight lifting. I’ll keep y’all updated on the lump. Updated on 9 Oct 2019: I’ll be updating this post probably next week. I go in for a lipo revision on 10/25 of the abdomen because I wasn’t happy with the final result. Dr. Dry at Athenix is super amazing and all I have to do is show up. I don’t have to pay any additional fees for the revision, maybe a copay for my medication but that is all. I’m excited to get the rest of this fat taken out...may be a bit more extensive because I developed seroma’s my first go round so he may need to remove those before he can lipo again. Anywho I will keep y’all updated Updated on 10 Oct 2019: s you all can see I’ve kept most if not all of the fat transfer. I’ve really enjoyed my size compared to my starting size. Hope you all have enjoyed my journey thus far. I will update you all on my revision surgery 10/25 or 10/26 if I’m recovering as expected. I’ve included pictures of my before and today over 1 year post. Updated on 27 Oct 2019: So this day started out like any other day. I went in they took my vitals the Doctor did his art work on the areas needing revision and I went into the procedure room (more or less). The difference this time was that they opted to do IV Sedation versus General Anesthesia. IV Sedation they also call Conscious Sedation or Twilight Sedation, I thought it was cool I wouldn’t need a breathing tube as I would be breathing on my own. Boy was I wrong... If you get the option to choose I suggest NOT going with IV Sedation. Everyone is different and this is my experience one I DO NOT recommend. Upon entering the operating room I laid on the bed as normal and talked to the nurses until I fell asleep, I’m not sure how much longer after that I WOKE UP during the procedure! I saw the blue curtain hanging in front of my face, I saw the nurses as I screamed in excruciating pain because I felt EVERY last move of the cannula as Dr. Dry performed my lipo....my stomach felt like it was being sliced open while my insides were on fire! My leg kept getting pushed down as I kept moving it because I was in pain trying to get away...the nurse kept saying “they’re numbing it, they’re numbing it” but it wasn’t until I almost started crying from the pain that they increased my sedation and I fell back to sleep. That experiences as so traumatizing I am not sure I will return to Athenix Body Sculpting to get my tummy tuck and another breast fat transfer. As I said everyone is different and you may respond to IV Sedation differently but I personally would not recommend or allow a provider to use it again on me. As far as recovery goes I am doing well. Almost back to moving normal and excited to get my garment off and shower today! Overall I don’t regret the decision to get the revision, I regret allowing them to use IV Sedation. Let me know if you all have any questions RealSelf babes! Updated on 3 Nov 2019: As you all can see I’m healing rather nicely. I expected a lot more swelling and loose sagging skin but so far looks good for me being a mom of 3 bio babies (youngest is 18 months). I think Dr. Dry did an AMAZING job on me and I’m super happy with my results so far even though all the swelling hasn’t gone down. I look forward to going back to the gym this coming weekend (can’t workout for 2 weeks) and I’ll be searching Amazon for a binder sooner than later. I need a smaller garmet but it needs to be torso only as I am bottom heavy so the garmet now fits my bottom but way too loose for my torso. I’m pretty much back to normal my lipo area is tender to touch and hurts sometimes when I cough but overall pain I can bare....stopped the pain medication on day 2 and been good since. I’ll update again when I go back on the 21st I’ll be about 4 weeks post op. Let me know if you have questions beauties!
From the photos, it looks like you should be able to have a low scar. The reason to have a vertical scar in your situation would be if the surgeon felt that you would benefit from having skin removed in the center of your abdomen with a so-called Fleurs-de-Lis approach. All the best to you.
In short to answer your question, you could achieve a significantly larger size by placing an implant but not with fat grafting. Fat grafting can be an excellent way to slightly increase the fullness of a breast but at best it can only increase the size by 1 cup. In order to achieve the best aesthetic outcome and meet your goal of increasing the breast size, it seems that it would be optimal to lift the breast and place in an implant. The specific end cup size is very difficult to predict as all bra companies go by a different sizing criteria to come up with the cup size.
I would certainly recommend that you discuss your activity level with your surgeon. Every surgeon has a different post-operative protocol for activity level. Feeling very tight after only 2 weeks is normal. Please bring this up with your surgeon as they will be the best to answer this question for your specific situation.
In general, the greatest risk for DVT comes from longer surgeries with general anesthesia. In your situation where you are just having local anesthesia and a short procedure then the risk should be minimal. Getting up and walking during the flight and staying well hydrated would be best. I would recommend discussing this with your surgeon as well. The flight itself should have no effect on the overall outcome of the surgery or interfere with the healing process.
Congratulations on the weight loss. It would be optimal to have a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon experienced in procedures after weight loss. With most people that have lost as much weight that you have it is necessary to perform a circumferential procedure (such as a belt lipectomy or body lift) to be able to remove enough tissue to make the remaining skin tight. Sometimes, simply revising the FDL will not allow the surgeon to remove enough loose skin.
