Charcoal whitening with attachments. Is this OK to do?

Question

I have Invisalign and have lots of attachments (appropriately 20, inc front teeth) and although the Invisalign so far is doing the job of straightening my teeth, I am so self conscious that my teeth are so discoloured. I will get free Zoom whitening at the end of my treatment but this is still a long way off. I have seen some charcoal teeth whitening advertised and would like to give it a go. Is this ok to do with attachments? If not, is there anything else you can suggest please? Thankyou

Unfortunately any whitening is probably not going to change the color of the attachments. Your best bet is to get your teeth polished with some good pumice. If you want you could try some traditional whitening gel in your aligners, but don't think results will be what you want.

There are whitening gel available that you can use along with invisalign treatment instead of using charcoal. You can consult with your dentist about the teeth whitening gel.

Hi:I would not advise to use charcoal whitening with the attachments.  Combination of whitening mouthwash and whitening toothpaste is the best alternative at this time.Best,Dr. Maddahi
