I had a lift and implants about 2 years ago and I'm not happy. I was a D before and asked for 500cc implants. What I have now is a DD that looks natural. I do not want them to look natural and I want them high profile, which I thought I got. Can I get larger implants without having to do another lift? And yes I know what I want is very unnatural but that's what I'm looking for.
Answer: See your surgeon Without an in person exam, it is impossible to say whether or not you'd be able to simple exchange your implants for a larger size or if you would need a lift as well. If you were happy with your surgeon, schedule a consult to discuss your options. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Wanting larger implants after a lift This question would best be answered after an examination to assess specific breast measurements, skin laxity and thickness, and other anatomical characteristics to help determine the appropriate plan. Depending on the degree of upsize, it might be possible to proceed with implant upsize alone without concurrent breast lift. However, it is important to be counseled on the risks associated with large-volume implant: larger implants tending to drop further, tissue/skin stretching, risk of synmastia or "uni-boob", back and shoulder pain, breast tissue thinning, sensory changes with nerve stretching, stretch marks, and longer recovery periods among others. It is also fair to say that if you're not committing to a breast lift now, you almost certainly are down the road with such a large implant. This does not mean you cannot have the outcomes you want! You just want to be as informed as possible so you can feel confident and comfortable with your decision moving forward. Good luck!!

Answer: Choosing a size is a matter of personal preference I typically prefer to separate the lift surgery from the implant surgery because of the additional risks associated with the blood supply to the nipples. Advice regarding implant size is appropriate from the plastic surgeon. However, in the end, they are your breasts! Your perception of what you want to look like is a personal preference. No one can tell you what you should look like. You need to find a plastic surgeon that has worked with large implants, because they do present a certain set of issues that require experience. There is a high profile implant that goes to 750 cc, and an implant which is not high profile that will go to 960 cc. A conversation regarding your goals, expectations and the technical considerations with a skilled and experienced surgeon who has worked with patients with large implants for decades is the only way to get your answer.

Answer: Size I agree with Dr. Adamo. Just because something can be done, does not mean it should be done. Large breasts sitting on your lap do not look good.

Answer: Can I get larger implants after a lift? The answer to your question is yes, you can get larger implants after a lift. However without seeing the position of your nipples, it is impossible for me to tell you if your nipples will be at an ideal point on your breasts with larger implants without re-doing your lift. There are other increased risks related with large implants that you need to be aware of, so I would recommend having an evaluation and consultation with someone who has performed many of these surgeries and can help you get the results that you are looking for and advise you of your risks. Good luck!
