I am about 9 months post op from BA/BL. This is my second set of implants and I had about a 3 year break in between my explant and reimplanting. My first pair, which I had for like 15 years always stayed on top of my body but this set seems to go flat and slide when laying down. I think it looks terrible and don't understand what's happening. Can this be fixed?
Answer: Breasts this on view looks fine, but your lateral pockets can be tightened so that the implants do not fall too much to your sides when you lay down. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: What is happening & can it be fixed? It is difficult to answer your question based on one photo and limited information. It appears you may benefit by adjusting the pocket(s) and securing the implant(s). I would suggest making a follow up appointment with your surgeon to voice your concerns. He or she should be able to analyze your condition and discuss options for treatment.

Answer: Revision with smaller implants Your implants are large and heavy. Your breasts are bottoming out and are too low on the chest wall. You will need a revision with smaller implants, the pockets need to be repositioned higher and more medially. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast augmentation outcome There are a lot of variables to take in the consideration to make equality assessment in your case. I don’t think you’re gonna get a good assessment from posting on this website. To start with anytime somebody has an explantation then re-mentation you’re going to be at risk for needing revision surgery with difficulties. This is also true whenever patients choose large implants. I’m not sure if your implant is above or below your pectoralis muscle, but I’m guessing it is not well secured by the muscle itself. Your skinI’m not sure if you’re implant is above or below your pectoralis muscle but I’m guessing it is not well secured by the muscle itself. Your skin envelope is probably holding up your implant and this is probably going to stretch overtime. To get a quality second opinion consultation, I suggest you schedule that as in person consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. For second opinion consultations come prepared bringing with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and operative report for each of your two previous procedures. These are all part of your medical record that you can request from your current or previous providers. I generally do not recommend patients remove breast implants if they have any thought of having implants in the future. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
