I had my surgery 10 months ago and my left side is bigger than the right side. I think it's scar tissue because my body is keloid formers. What can I do now? Do I have to do a revision or can I get kenalog injections?
Answer: Do I have scar tissue after gynecomastia surgery? Thank you for your questions and photos. You have developed 'lumpy' scars that will benefit from massage and steroid injections if the they do not settle. I would wait 12 months after surgery when all the internal scars have disappeared to assess the chest asymmetry. Keep massaging the chest area also as this will help break the scar down.

Answer: Do I have scar tissue after gynecomastia surgery? Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. For what appears to have been your liposuction port site I would recommend surgical excision followed by aggressive silicone scar cream/sheet therapy and cortisone injections. As for asymmetry in your chest, only an in-person examination to determine what has caused the difference - fat, scar, muscle, rib cage - can help diagnose the issue in order to offer treatment advice. Hope this helps.

Answer: Good question Thanks for your question. It is hard to say from the photographs. The asymmetry could be caused by a number of factors. It could be muscular asymmetry, it could be more or less fat/breast tissue was taken from one side vs the other, you could have had more dense connective tissue on one side than the other resulting in asymmetry after lipo. There are a lot of possibilities. A revision is reasonable after 6 months to a year and kenalog to the adit sites (incisions) may be reasonable as well. I would recommend seeing your surgeon and discussing all of these issues. After an exam he or she should be able to give you a more certain answer.I hope this helps!
