Had gynecomastia surgery 3 years ago (2015), Is this a severe case of crater deformity? Can it be fixed? (photos)

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  It does appear that you have an area of tissue resection, and based on how little fat you have, the best option would be to try and fat graft the areas to improve the depth of the contour irregularity.  Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience following your previous surgery. Based on your images, it looks like you still have excess tissue in the upper outer part of your chest on both sides towards your armpit. A physical examination would determine if this is the case, and if it can be addressed by liposuction or open excision. You may also benefit from some fat grafting to your lower chest.

You need to see a board certified plastic surgeon who is a gynecomastia specialist for correction. An in person exam is needed to be able to evaluate you, but correction can be done with the right surgeon! Good luck!

Any contouring deformities are a challenge to address. My advice would be to first have an ultrasound to identify the source of the problem. A dynamic MSK one would help with the kinetics and the anatomy of the area as well. Your answer might be easier than you think with a small fat transfer. In any case you would need a thorough clinical examination and possibly a scan.

Men with an unfavorable result from gynecomastia surgery can have corrective surgery.  To provide a consultation, I would need multiple photos and even video, or an in person consultation to determine what approach I would take to provide correction.
