It is normal to have anxiety about a procedure that involves needles. It's even more scary when you don't know what to expect or are in the hands of someone you don't trust. My recommendation is to read all you can about it and go to your injector to ask them all of your questions and have them explain exactly what will be done. Make sure you go to someone you like, and you trust. Someone who makes you feel comfortable. Another good idea is to request that your lips be done lying down. Since the lip shape is not gravity dependent, your body position should not alter the results. There are many anesthetic options you can use so that you don't feel any of it is you choose not to.
