It’s&nbsp;great that you are researching this topic. There’s&nbsp;nothing currently FDA&nbsp;approved for the undereyes. However, Restylane has been the gold standard as it has the least number of side effects related to this area.&nbsp;I personally perform about 7-10 under eye procedures a day and have an extremely high rate of satisfaction. &nbsp;I’m currently participating as an investigator in&nbsp;the clinical trial studies&nbsp;for Volbella to get its FDA approval for this procedure and find that and Vollure to be good options too.&nbsp;

What would be best for my tear trough fillers? Juvederm or Restylane? How many cc?

Dear Lisa Cates,Undereye bags can develop after filler injection if it's placed too superficially (near the skin), &nbsp;if in too high of an amount. &nbsp;or if it's placed incorrectly. &nbsp;While Belotero normally lasts about 3-6 months, I've seen it last years in this area of the face due to the low amount of the body's natural hyaluronidase enzyme below the eyes. &nbsp;I recommend that you follow up with your injector and ask if they are willing to fix the issue free of charge, or at least remove it for you.Best,Dr. Soleiman

I had hollows under my eyes and wrinkles and slight bunching when smiling. I got Bolotero under eyes and now I have bags. I can not afford to have the material injected that gets rid of it. How long will it take for this to go away and what should my dermatologist done instead?

Under eye hollows now under eye bags with Boletero. Any suggestions?

Dear Suz1422,If in fact it has been 3 weeks since your belotero injection, it's unlikely that the bumps are from swollen tissue. &nbsp;Most likely it's the filler that's visible. Belotero is a hyaluronic acid based product and can easily be reversed or at least decreased in volume by using a reversal enzyme called hyaluronidase (Hylenex). &nbsp;Best, Dr. Soleiman.

HELP! I had Botox on my forehead but the lines were still visible so I had Bolotero filler injected 6 weeks later. This was three weeks ago and my forehead is still so bumpy. I have an appointment at the clinic tomorrow morning and I'm hoping for some advice on what the best course of action should be based on how my forehead looks just now.

Dear bedford123,It is common to have lumps and bumps after injections. &nbsp;Your best plan would be to wait the complete 14 days after procedure until all of your swelling has settled down. &nbsp;Then, if there are any lumps/bumps/ridges, you can easily reverse that area with a small amount of hylenex. &nbsp;Any time earlier than that, you may be trying to reverse a swollen tissue rather than a misplaced product. &nbsp;Good luck!

I got a belotero lip filler last Thursday and its left ridges in my lips as if it's not spred properly there quite hard and look horrible its making me regret getting them does will this go down please ? They look okt when my mouth is closed but as soon as I talk they are bumpy

Dear calig3211, We treat masseter muscles for many reasons, including night time grinding, migraines, and to change the shape of the face.  Sometimes, to achieve the correct facial contouring, we Botox the masseter to reduce the masculine appearance, but then add fillers to shape out the jaw line, without the bulk of the muscle.  You can quickly increase back your jawline or even the bulk in the masseter area with a little filler.  I wouldn't grind too much to hasten the build up of your muscle as it can cause wearing out of your teeth, TMJ issues, or eventually headaches.  If you don't do anything at all, your masters will eventually go to their previous size from your normal talking and eating. I got Botox into each jaw 30 units two months ago. I hated the results it made my jawline sag, made face look narrow and sagged cheeks. Now all the sudden after grinding my teeth on purpose the muscle has now started to work again the masatur muscle is starting to go out again when I bite down or grind teeth on purpose. Can I just keep griding my teeth to build the muscle back up and do this for many hours a day, or is there a side effect to me just keep chewing gum all day to rebuild muscle?

Dear pricetag, From the way you described your symptoms (blanching that resolved, pain, white pustules), your different diagnosis includes vascular occlusion (blocked blood vessel), and viral or bacterial infections.  Occlusion is an inherent risk with fillers that can never be completely obliterated.  My recommendation is to contact your injector or another one in your area who is experienced and familiar with these risks and can manage your recovery.  You should probably reverse the fillers with hylenex as a precaution.  Aspirin may be another good additional treatment choice, along with antibiotics, anti-vitals, prednisone, possibly nitropraste, and maybe hyperbaric chamber.  You should be evaluated by an experienced injector to determine which course of action is best in your case.

I had volbella lip filler done 2 days ago to the left half of my top and bottom lips for symmetry because of Bell's palsy. I had some blanching under my lip right after the injection that resolved after 5-10 minutes. I developed a bruise under my lower lip that night and increased pain in that area. The next night some white pustules started appearing on top of the bruise. I went to the ER this morning and saw a plastic surgery resident. They took a sample of a few pustules. They think it's an infection and prescribed Kelflex.Now some of the pustules have broken open and are bleeding. I think this happened since I've been opening my mouth to eat.

While tear troughs are "off-label" (there are no fillers specifically indicated for this area), most injectors do place fillers when there's significant hollowing.  Restylane tends to work better in this area compared to Juvederm due to it's characteristic in that it is not as hydrophilic (water absorbing), so it doesn't swell as much on days that you are retaining water/are bloated.  Since undereyes are thin and delicate, you need a product that doesn't swell up as much down the line (first couple of weeks you may have significant swelling, but then it should settle)  My recommendation for most of my patients for the undereyes is restylane.

Asymmetry, swelling, nodules, and bruising are very common in the 1st two weeks after lip injections.  And as you get more injections and your lips have more pressure within them, these risks increase.  You also have to keep in mind that every time you smile, purse, and open/close your lips, you are moving the product within your lips.  It is not uncommon for your lips to bend the product out of where it was placed.  My advise is to wait 2 weeks for everything to settle, then go back to your injector for fine tuning- add more product where it needs to be added, and dissolve product from areas of nodules or overfill.   Beautiful, symmetric lips take a lot of patience and time! 

I had fillers done roughly 3 months ago they looked fine then an extra 1ml 7 days ago I feel like the swelling has gone down but my right feels lumpy and looks fuller then the left.

I have never seen Botox work after only 12 hours.  I have also never seen an allergic reaction to Botox.  My only possible explanation would be either bruising, or swelling from the trauma of the needle.  Especially since you are seeing some blue tint (without an examination, my hunch is purely from process of elimination). I would also wonder if the Botox was reconstituted with something other than normal saline, that could possibly give you an allergic reaction?  Or maybe a numbing cream that was used?  Are you allergic to anything?  I highly recommend for you to go back to your injector and brainstorm, as you should know if you have any allergies. What would cause severely swollen eyes after Botox. I had botox injected in crows feet and closely above the eyebrow. (5 units on each side of crows feet) It's as though water is holding around the eye, particularly under the eye. The area also has a purple tint. Please note: I Never have eye bags, so this is something very obviously related to the botox. Could this be water retention from a lax muscle, only 12 hours after injection? When should this go away? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Every Botox vial has a lot number.  Doctors are to keep an accurate log of which botox/lot number was used on each patient.  If a problem arises and the medical records are audited, the Botox vial numbers/lot numbers better match up, otherwise the physician can face a lot of legal consequences and problems.  I personally don't think it's worth the risk for anyone to try to cheat the system.  The insurance companies expect the unused Botox units to be discarded; if used on other patients, it's considered a form of stealing.  I hope your physician is more careful and ethical than to do that. 

I've been seeing a neurologist for Botox for migraines. He orders 300 units from my pharmacy and injects 150. What happens to the rest? He never lets me use it the next time and whenever I ask questions, no one ever gets back to me. Is this a standard practice? I pay about $240 per every 100 units, and that's after insurance... that's over $700 to the specialty pharmacy. I'd sure not like to be spending more than I have to when it's so costly.

What happens to the leftover Botox?
