Hello I am 4 months post op rihnoplasty. I was just wondering will driving ruin my results especially when going on bumps and driving fast becuase whenever I do I feel like my nose is being pulled down especially at the tip area. Thank you
Answer: 4 months post rhinoplasty It is safe to drive even on a bump-year-old when year 4 months post rhinoplasty. In fact you can start driving as soon as a few days after rhinoplasty.A sensation of pulling on the nose will not do any harm. The only harm that can happen is if you hit your face face on the steering wheel.RegardsDr. J

Answer: 4 months post op, some advices: Thank you very much for enquire. It's too early to make value judgments with four months after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity. To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Driving after rhinoplasty Dear Mikecheema92,There is no danger from driving over bumps. Your nose will be sensitive for up to a year, but unless you get into a car accident, you should not have any damage from simply driving around. All the best,Dr. Michelle Yagoda

Answer: Rhinoplasty at 4 months I do not like "fresh" post-op patients to drive because one does not realize the amount of exertion that is used to drive. At 4 months it is fine.

Answer: It is safe to drive your car after rhinoplasty Other than the horrible thought of a car accident, I can think of no reason as to why you cannot drive after rhinoplasty. Any bumps that you might hit should not affect your rhinoplasty outcome, especially at 4 months postop. The decision about driving in the first week or two after rhinoplasty may be more surgeon dependant, but I allow patients to drive early postoperatively as long as they are not taking narcotics.
