I’m so glad I chose Dr Cotrufo, I’m 3 weeks post op and I’m loving my results already (I mean his Instagram account speaks for itself), but the day of the surgery and the aftercare was everything for me. I’m 6 weeks post op with Dr Cotrufo and cannot re commend him enough. My entire process from start to finish has been so smooth and straight forward…I knew at my initial consultation that I wanted to proceed, Dr Cotrufo has a very honest and calming demeanour and always made me feel confident and safe in his care. On my surgery day I was feeling very anxious and Dr Cotrufo really calmed me down and re assured me. My surgery recovery was a lot easier than I had anticipated and my pain minimal! Having researched the surgery all over the internet and seeing many horror stories on YouTube etc I was very concerned I’d be in a lot of pain and struggle to take care of my kids but Dr Cotrufo re assured me this is not how he works and this would not be the case, he was correct…I was up and on the move immediately and able to put my children to bed alone 24 hours later. My follow up care has been nothing short of outstanding and given Dr Cortufo’s wide catalogue of skills and expertise I will always come to him for any surgery I might consider going forward. Really great experience overall. Dr Cotrufo is great and was very realistic in what I could achieve. Wiesje has been amazing too - answering my many questions and putting me at ease with my worries about the surgeries & aftercare. I have type 1 diabetes and was worried about how my blood sugars would be managed while I was asleep but was reassured by Dr C and the anaesthetist, Dr Ali. I had had a few consultations before deciding on Dr C, the deciding factors for me were feeling comfortable about my diabetes being managed for me and also having someone with a lot of experience with fat transfer to the hips & buttocks. I had a mini tummy tuck, VASER liposuction on inner & outer thighs, abdomen and full back with fat transfer to my hips and buttocks. I didn’t have huge hip/buttock dips to begin with but I wanted a perkier rounded shape. I was also bothered by my c-section pooch which I was unable to shift with diet and exercise alone. After surgery I stayed the night and went home the next day with drains (which I had removed the following week) My recovery has gone well, even with my diabetes. I absolutely love my new waist and stomach, it’s definitely my favourite part! I love my new legs and bum too but I’m considering going back for a second round of fat transfer to fill in the remainder butt dips (from arms). I feel so much more confident now so I’m glad I finally did it. I don’t think I’ve felt this good about my body since I was in my early 20s (15 years ago!)
Finding Dr Cotrufo was my stroke of luck. I went to see him to try and fix a previous overly done lipo by another doctor, that had left me with an unsightly dimple under my buttock. This pleat caused me a lot of stress, because I knew trying to correct it would have proven difficult since I am a very slim woman with little or no fat to harvest. During my consultation, Dr Cotrufo understood my concerns and was able to come up with a plan that eased my worries. He performed a lipo over the flanks, literally he left no bruises and I could not even tell I had surgery there . He used this fat to fill the pleat. He explained this would be a 2 steps surgery, done at a few months distance, to achieve a better result. I have had my first step and the dimple feels and looks already much better. What can I say? I wish I had known of him sooner! I would like to add that I have crossed Europe to see him and he was worth it.
Dr Cotrufo has been perfect the whole way through from consultation to my my discharge appointment. A genuinely kind man. I have undergone a few surgical procedures (different surgeons) and this was by far my best experience pre surgery, surgery day and post surgery. Wiesje has also been amazing in terms of making arrangements, checking in and making sure I am ok and general communication. The care has been second to none and I am really pleased with my results. :)
Hello and thank you so much for sharing these images.Most asymmetries can be corrected more easily with surgery as they have an anatomical base affecting all components: bones, muscles and fat layers.The fact that the asymmetry is visible with clothes on conform how the problem is “complex” in the sense that it affects several layers.I would suggest a thorough consultations with a fully qualified plastic surgeon to discuss all options available: reducing one side or augmentation the opposite and how.I hope this helps:)
The problem is complex as it involves skin and underlying soft tissues. The scar involving both layers is the limiting factor.I had similar cases and I would approach as follows:1. First session or two: Coleman fat grafting with rigorttomies to release deep and superficial scars and start Testing the “expansion” potential. This can be done under local anaesthesia.2. Then scar excision: specific lines on skin “resistance” should become more obvious after targeted expansion.3. Larger volume fat injection.Some patients need different progression: for example scar release first.Be reassured that the final result can be much better than what it is but unfortunately almost certainly not perfect.I hope this helps and I wish you good luck.
Thank you very much for your enquiry here.Am essential question you need to answer is if you are happy with the size of you nose - and only with to enhance definition - or you are also aiming to make your nose smaller.Once you have this answer the technical options will come immediately obvious to define the ideal surgery for you.Always refer to a plastic surgeon with obvious experience in nose surgery to discuss your options and the implication of each surgical technique.I hope this helps.
Thank you for posting so many pictures.Your concern is understandable if you look at your skin thickness and probably a dermatologist could help you to work on it. Possibly things will get better with age as the skin becomes thinner.If instead you look at the shape of your nostrils, it is difficult to confirm by the pictures of you are really a candidate for alar base reduction.You are certainly very young and and surgical procedure should be taken very seriously, including a full understanding of outcome and consequence of any complication.I would suggest to seek your family support to start with and then consult a plastic surgeon with obvious experience in nose surgery as well as a dermatologist if your concern is about the skin thickness.I hope this will help.Best,
This is a very intelligent observation. Thank you.Never the less, the technique of fat injection does not change between slim and thin patients.Certainly a slimmer patient will not be able to “host” a graft volume “as large as an heavier patient”.Also skin quality played a very important role: tight skin will expand less.Ultimately it will be a surgeon mistake if the cannula goes dip to inject fat into the muscle.I hope this helps you and I wish you the best of luck.
