Should I do my 2nd CoolMini treatment before or after chin and jawline injections? (photos)

Question

I did my first coolmini treatment on 4-5. However, I have an appt with a facial plastic surgeon on 4-25 for a consultation to do a jawline and chin enhancement using fillers. My next coolmini treatment is 5-1. My question is, should I do the 2nd coolmini treatment before or after the jawline and chin fillers? I'm not sure if the cool mini treatment will have any effect on the fillers. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello, Thank you for your question and pictures. It may be best to wait for fillers until you achieve the full results of your second CoolMini. A more sculpted jawline will affect how the doctor treats you with fillers! Good luck and congratulations on your first treatment!

Good question! I would recommend waiting until you have reached your final results with CoolSculpting before having injectable filler treatment.  That way your board certified plastic surgeon can discuss the proper treatment in addressing your jawline and chin areas in proportion to the rest of your face/neck. CoolMini won't effect your fillers but ideally you would want to wait until you see the results of your CoolMini treatments before you set out to do fillers or other treatments to help your jawline.  CoolMini hasn't even had a chance to work completely! (give it at least 3 months)  Give it time to show you what it's done and then you can consider fillers to strengthen the chin and jawline.    Best of luck!

When you go for your consultation I would mention that you have done one Coolmini and are planning to do the second one.  It takes 8-12 weeks to see results, so it may be best to see the Coolsculpt results first, then do fillers in jawline and chin.  Lana Long, MD

I think augmenting the jaw line and chin will improve the appearance of under the chin fat but i would be sure to let your treating physicians know what you are planning so they can discuss it with you

I would definitely wait to see the full results of your CoolMini treatments before injections as the CoolMini treatments will alter the appearance of the chin and jawline making optimal injection more difficult.  Just let your plastic surgeon know.

You should inform your doctor of your Coolsculpting treatment plan pertaining to your chin and neck area. This may impact your doctor's plan for contouring your jawline as Coolsculpting results may take multiple months to be completed.
