Hi there I have had two consultations for cool sculpting for my double chin. One recommended one applicator for the central chin area, but another recommended 2: one on each side of the jaw. The latter being double the price. Is it worth it? Or should I just get one done? Which is the general more common practice please?

Answer: CoolMini for double chin Thank you for your question! For fat localized to the sub mental chin, a single applicator per session may be required. If there is significant fat more laterally in the neck, 2 or 3 overlapping applicators may be required to produce the optimal result. I would visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss what is best for you. Best regards, Andrew Lyos MD, FACS

Answer: CoolSculpting Double Chin There is no way to accurately answer your question without pictures or an in-person evaluation as it depends on the amount and distribution of fat under your chin. We will sometimes use a single applicator or two applicators to treat the double chin, depending on what we find on examination. Either way, most people need 2-3 rounds of treatment for optimal results. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced provider. Best wishes.
