My doctor said I had too little chin fat for Coolsculpting. Can anything be done?

She said the I didn't have enough fat for the applicator to grab hold of. Are there smaller applicators or any other way to get around this problem?

If after examining you and placing the Cool Mini template under your chin you didn't appear to be a candidate for Coolsculpting, there is likely a chance that Kybella would work.  Kybella also helps to address unwanted fat in the area under the chin by dissolving it rather than freezing it.  Either treatment is a good option for the proper candidate.   Without detailed photos or seeing you in person it is impossible to guess about the ideal treatment for your situation.  Consider a consultation with a provider that has a variety of options, both surgical and non-surgical, for your concerns.  Good Luck!

Thank you for your question. The CoolMini is a great treatment option for those with stubborn submental fat; however, it is currently the smallest applicator CoolSculpting has. If your provider is saying that you don't have enough fat to get a good treatment, then you may be a candidate for Kybella. It is an injectable treatment that dissolves fat cells. Hi.  I would explore Kybella, which is an injectable that permanently dissolves fat cells.  It also has shown skin tightening benefits. If the applicator doesn't fit then cool mini is not for you.   Kybella will dissolve fat with injections to specific areas within the fat and can be customized to your anatomy.  Be sure you see a board certified surgeon to help determine if you have fat in the neck.  If it is more loose skin than fat then you can consider other methods to tighten skin.  Cool mini and Kybella injections are for fat only.  Good luck.!

CoolMini is the smallest CoolSculpting applicator and will not be applicable to everyone's fat in that area. However, there are several other options for treating the fat pad in this area, including Kybella, liposuction (such as VASER) or ThermiTight. All of these can be done as office procedures.
