Although there is no association between Juvederm and most common type of gingivitis, one must always keep in mind the possibility of reactivation of HSV1 infection (cold sores). The majority of adult population are carriers of this virus with most common expression on the outside of lips. However, a small proportion may develop lesions inside the lips and on the gums as a reaction to external factors (thermal, chemical or mechanical). Still, the chances of this are rather small.
You could certainly use a modest touch-up in the left peak of the upper lip. Hopefully you won't have to continue to go back for touch-ups to get a satisfactory result as you may end up with overly full lips that look unnatural.
