Dr. Anup Patel thoroughly evaluated my cosmetic surgery goals and recommended a procedure to safely accomplish them. Since the surgery, I look more youthful and refreshed. Physically, I don't feel my age, and after Dr. Patel's services, I don't look it, either. His sincere care for his patients is all too rare these days. I enthusiastically recommend him as a cosmetic surgeon.
I completed three different consultations prior to choosing Dr Patel. My husband and I had previous experience with him as an orthopedic surgeon for my husband. When we discovered that he was also a cosmetic surgeon, our decision was made. Unlike the others Dr Patel was completely honest on what my surgical outcome would be. He provided his personal opinions, at our request, he was respectful and did not try and sale us on something that was not in my best interest. My process took two separate surgeries, the breast and the tummy. They were 3-4 months apart to allow for recovery. During this time Dr Patel continued to keep in touch with me, checking on my recovery and answering any questions my husband and may have. He was at my disposal both day and night if needed via text or phone. He was absolutely wonderful to have take care of me. I would and have, highly recommend DR Patel for any cosmetic or orthopedic needs you may have.
I am just over 4 weeks postop from an upper and lower blepharoplasty. I am so grateful for Dr Patel and his level of compassion and expertise. He did everything to make sure I was going to achieve the best and safest results. I am so excited with the results and it just keeps getting better!!
I had my breast implant surgery on 12/28/2022. My implants are Sientra 305 cc smooth, round, moderate plus profile. Dr. Patel is such an incredible surgeon and an even more respectable human being. Thanks to him, I have beautiful results! SIZING - - - - - - - - - - Previously I was a 32B. I asked to be a full C cup and I ended up as exactly a 32D. I say exactly because there was exactly a 4 inch difference (28 inch rib and 32 inch bust). I'm 28 years old, 5 ft 5 in, my normal weight range is 115-120 lbs. I'm pretty true to a size 4. My goal was a moderate and proportional breast size, I didn't want the first thing someone to notice about me be my boobs. I looked at a ton of before and after photos and used sites like Bustmob. Unfortunately you can't gauge everything on photos because the existing breast size is obviously different with everyone, you really just have to trust your surgeon. Also, as a small chested woman, a D cup sounded huge! My small D cup now is how I pictured a full C. Even though I was scared of going too big, I would have been upset if I came out too small. Dr. Patel chose the perfect size for me by picking the best option for my body. Know that implants would look absolutely ridiculous for the first 8 weeks and may not fully settle until 6 months. Knowing that, did I still freak out? Absolutely lol. Honestly, I had a lot of anxiety in the first 6 weeks thinking I chose the wrong size (they weren't even healed yet!). It's all I could think about and I was so consumed by it. Even though I read that these feelings of doubt were normal, it still absolutely sucked to go through it. I snapped out of it after speaking to Dr. Patel. If I went larger, I would have had more risks with my fold blowing out, they would have been uncomfortable working out, they would be obvious/fake looking and I was at my limit due to my BWD. I said, "I should have asked you weeks ago!" It was so freeing to have peace of mind! PRE OP - - - - - - - - - - I got pre approved for an account through Care Credit financing but actually didn't end up using it. Instead, I opened up a new credit card account (like Capital One, Chase, or Wells Fargo) that had an introductory offer of 0% interest for 12 months. I had multiple consultations scheduled across Orlando, Tampa, and Gainesville. I was surprised that OPSI had me submit photos first to be screened, but I liked knowing that they specialize. I think you'll know whether or not you've found your surgeon immediately. My first consultation gave me a bad feeling with the doctor, and in contrast, I knew Dr. Patel would be my surgeon once I met him. I scheduled my surgery 6 months out and their amazing secretary, Shayna, kept in touch. I was so impressed that Dr. Patel would contact me personally if I had questions she couldn't answer or with any major surgery updates. Before even meeting Dr. Patel, I noticed he had nothing but glowing reviews. Every other location had great reviews and a few complaints, which is normal. But I honestly could not find any negative comments here. I knew he was board certified, has written many journals, and is also charitable. He has been recognized by celebrities, politicians, and athletes for his work. I knew he also did reconstructive hand surgery, plastic surgery sounds easy compared to that! Meeting him in person during consultation was such a highlight of this whole thing! He immediately understood what I wanted by asking for a natural, proportional size. He answered all of my questions and I had this feeling of confidence knowing I could trust in him. I have so much respect for Dr. Patel and I'm so proud he is my surgeon! On surgery day, we arrived a few hours early but ended up starting late. The surgery center room is a very busy room with a ton of machine beeping going on. It's also freezing and extra freezing when they put the IV in. I met the anesthesiologist and the rest of the staff were really pleasant. I was not nervous at all before surgery. My fiance got to stay by my side until the RNs wheeled me away to the surgery room. Because we lived 2 hours away and weren't staying in town, he filled my prescriptions while I was in surgery (he had my purse, including my ID). He also had lunch, which was important because he was too busy spending the rest of the day taking care of me. POST OP - - - - - - - - - - Supplies I highly recommend include: an easy snack so you don't have to take meds on an empty stomach (my choice is Kings Hawaiian buns), a soda and jello for post surgery (per the surgery center's recommendation), a shower brush on a stick (this is a MUST BUY!), dry shampoo, lip balm, button down shirts, comfy sweatpants that have a loose waist to pull them up and down easily, back scratcher, one of those trash picker upper things, and a wedge pillow. I also ordered another surgery bra once I found the brand and size of what I came home with. Immediately out of surgery, I had nurses and my fiance nearby. Coming home to our dog was really nerve wracking, so he was kept on a leash to avoid jumping on me. We set up a baby gate to have separated areas at home. My fiance stayed home the following day, too. I knew that the first time opening my surgery bra would be weird but it was still scary. It gets better obviously, but just know it so you don't freak out. My scars are healing well, I use silicone scar tape along with scar gel every day and I see improvement every week. The first time I saw my scars they looked like Halloween makeup. Again, it gets better, don't freak out. First couple of days I definitely needed help getting up. For the first 5 days, that was the absolute worst pain: getting upright. It felt like a burning sandpaper sensation for a second. Coughing also hurt a lot. I learned real fast that as soon as I felt the sensation of coughing, I would drink water to avoid it. Sneezing felt like an internal chest fire, so that was also not fun. I couldn't fully shower until day 4, I felt so grubby until then. Everything, including showering, was exhausting for the first two weeks! I had to wait until my fiance came home from work to shower, since I needed help drying off and getting dressed. I made a notepad file for the times I took my prescriptions, to make it easy to remember since they had varying dosage times. I have a really low pain tolerance and I did 5 days of pain pills. I didn't have a bowel movement until day 6 because of those. I never experienced any muscle spasms as my implants settled. I kept making myself anxious, stressing over keeping my heart rate under 100. On day 9, my stepmom told a doctor friend and they said to take me to the ER because an elevated heart rate could be a sign of post surgery complications like a blood clot. Hearing that definitely didn't help with the anxiety, but we took it seriously. We went to the ER, I had an ECG, and I tested out fine. Because I normally experience elevated heart rate, I chose not to have caffeine for the first 5 weeks post op. I ended up missing 1.5 weeks of work. I thought recovery would be a lot faster, but everyone is different. At work, I felt so exposed wearing the surgery bra because it was unlined and unpadded. I usually wore a tank top underneath my work shirts and placed padding (like from a sports bra) in between to shield my nipples. Each week got better and better. Despite all of the negatives I just mentioned, the pain was short lived and it was all worth it. It's amazing that recovery is only 6 weeks. My favorite outfits now always includes sports bras! I love my cleavage with the moderate plus profile. However, I honestly thought I would feel more confident but nope, I'm still an introvert. I'm still myself, just curvier :) Dr. Patel checked in on me the evening of my surgery and so frequently during recovery, sending update photos was a great experience. I'm so impressed at how accessible he was throughout the whole process. I never had to contact the office, since I could contact him directly. He really does care about his patients, you can tell. I can't thank Dr. Patel enough, it has been an absolute pleasure to deal with him and my results are beautiful!
Making the final decision to get a tummy tuck took place the day I consulted with Dr. Patel. He was the only doctor that understood what I was looking for with this procedure and was realistic about what I should expect. He is straight forward, honest and if he says he can help you, don't doubt it. He did not leave my sight after having surgery and monitored my recovery closely and personally. I am six months in recovery, and every week I feel more amazed at how I feel and look. Dr. Patel did an excellent surgery and had the aesthetic aspect to make my stomach look natural. He is board certified and that is reassuring when going for such an invasive surgery that you would have to live with results for the rest of your life. Forever thankful to Dr. Patel.
In June of 2022 I saw Dr. Patel for a full tummy tuck and breast lift with Mesh. I was 5’2” 120 lbs when I got pregnant, so after my two pregnancies, babies that weighed over nine and ten pounds, and breast feeding for a collective of five years, there was a lot of correction needed. I had an 11cm separation between my abdominal muscles and it was causing a lot of lower back issues. I also had symmetry and volume concerns with my breasts. I met with multiple surgeons before deciding that Dr. Patel was the best and only option for me. To begin, he has hundreds of 5 star reviews, a highly impressive education, and his online presence was void of your typical plastic surgeon sites- no gimmicks, no mass number of before and after photos, etc. It was professional and I could tell the ratings were based solely on his medical ability and accomplishments. The first time I met with Dr. Patel he gave me his personal number so I could reach him with any questions. The level of trust that he established right off the bat was critical in me making my choice. He listened to and understood my surgical goals and concerns. Being a mother, safety was an especially big consideration for such an extensive surgery. To help keep the amount of time under anesthesia at a minimum, Dr. Patel used a second Board Certified Plastic Surgeon rather than a Surgical Assistant. Following the surgery, Dr. Patel was always available to help with any concerns I had. The first few days of recovery were rough, but he made time to see me right away to ensure everything was healing properly. He also provides at no additional cost a medical concierge service through Pear Health. Leena was my contact here and checked on me regularly. She was also able to quickly and efficiently address and questions or concerns that I had. Dr. Patel also recommended the services of a lymphatic massage therapist, Florentina Gonzalez. She has been crucial to my healing and I highly recommend using her post surgery, or for any other medical issues. She still comes to my home weekly (almost 2 months post op) and works on my stomach and breasts to ensure there is no build up of fluid or scar tissue. This was a major surgery and the healing process has been long, but I could not have made a better choice for Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Patel, thank you for such a high level of professionalism, care, and compassion!
I would like to start by saying that I had a phenomenal experience with Doctor Patel and his team. I wanted breast augmentation for a long time and I'm glad I finally did it. I honestly was very afraid but Dr.Patel is an amazing surgeon, very professional, and kind human being. He was very detailed, and explained the procedure and everything that comes after the surgery in a way that I could understand and made me feel secure. I’m truly in love with the breast augmentation that he performed and will be forever grateful! Images will be posted soon!
Overall my experience with Dr. Patel was fantastic! During my consultation for a cosmetic breast augmentation he was very attentive and thoroughly explained the how and why of his procedure. From start to finish Dr. Patel made himself available for communication and kept me informed up to the day of surgery and beyond. His work is flawless and I cannot imagine having gone elsewhere.

Dr. Patel is very professional, honest, personable and responsive. He will give recommendations and go by the chart, and that's what I was looking for in a professional. He won't treat you like one of many and will actually listen. He wants to make sure that you're satisficed with the results. P.S. I have a few friends who have had breast augmentations done. They were really surprised by my my fast recovery and almost zero absence of pain and discomfort only after 2 days. It tells a lot about the quality.
Soreness is ok especially if your job involves carrying trays. Many patients often watch their breasts heal at different rates. You are far too early out of surgery and need to give yourself time to let both breasts heal. You can really see more of a final result around 3 months. Be sure to keep your plastic surgeon aware of all your thoughts and concerns as well while you heal.
Many patients often worry about the lift due to fear of the scars. Based on your photograph, I would advise a lift with an augmentation for the most aesthetic result. If you opt to just have implants, your nipple position and ptosis will not be fixed. Many patients who have the fear you have can opt for a staged procedure doing one surgery at a time, however, doing both may help you from having to have surgery and recover twice. I have a great video on this I am attaching that can help you with this decision. I advise you consult with a Plastic Surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
It has been a week and you should be fine holding things like your phone. It is not uncommon for people to feel more pain on one side over the other. Discuss with your plastic surgeon who may suggest you make some movements with your arms above your head and around.
Your concerns are very common among women as they are healing after the operation. You have just recently had it and it is common for your breasts the settle differently. You will need to allow yourself to heal and give it 3-6 months to assess your breast symmetry at that time. I do advise you discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon as well. Depending on how breasts are healing we may advise massage techniques (also common).
I highly recommend reviewing these concerns with your plastic surgeon. Seeing your preoperative photographs would be helpful to understand your anatomy and results. It is possible for a breast to look off place if it is not placed properly behind the nipple. Absolutely suggest discussing your thoughts around your results with your plastic surgeon.
